zhafri,

Tukar saja ECT (Engine Cooling Temperature Sensor) yang connect to ECU.

If high tension cable, there could be two problems associated with them.
One is that the inner cable core is carbonised and breaking up which will
eventually putus. Next is when the insulation properties of the HT cable`s
rubber is damaged and sparks are coming out of the cable to the engine
ground.

The first problem is more difficult to see as it`s intermittent, so better
change a whole set to confirm. With the engine running, you can also bend
the cables to check if there`re broken core, the engine will give upo
then. The second problem can be avoided by lifting all the cables away
from the engine / car body ground.

Sorry to hear about your medical predicament. So young have slip disc.
Better be careful hor.

glock19,

thanks for the info.. going to check them.. my dad 'kebas' the 240 today,
so can't check... eheheheh...

actually, there are quite a number of youngsters nowadays suffer slip disc
in 20s and 30s.. the real fact is this; for those of you who have healthy
spine, take care of it, especially uncle2 yg rajin diy... make sure u move
and bend ur body, how to lift up heavy things, mcm mana tunduk semua in
rigth way.. kalau dah kene slip disc, then dont think about diy anymore,
cannot even wash the car... love ur spine, take care of it, if u love ur
volvo!! :)

zhafri, sorry to hear of your recent misadventure. Hope you're alright
now. You're right. Love your spine! Some years ago, I coughed when
brushing my teeth & pulled a muscle. Left me in pain for six weeks despite
medical attention. It's no joke, guys. You can be totally incapacitated.
Take care.

zhafri- ur 240 still jerk & misfire? better let others do it 4 U lah,
Ur spine ok? this slipped disc can happen to almost everbody,
`coz a disc that support each backbone can easily slips
under certain circumstances, i.e sport,
heavy falls etc.. so once kena u've got to be v.v.v.careful
in future, forget about v. active lifestyle for a next couple of month,
but yet U can still surf thru the forum as usuall
`coz its a fingers job..Cool..Big Smile

Haskel03,

nope, the 240 didn't jerk for couple days.. i really suspect the plug cable
as it happened intermittenly.. tomorrow will bring it to workshop... to
change longshaft mounting, change tyres and also check for the jerk issue..

u punye advise are exactly as what my doc said!! he told me not to lift
heavy things, can't bend ur body for 1 month!! so, just relax for a month..
