LCII with 1KZ engine really powerful......3.0 TDI someone said 1KZ engine
got old & new model one....if not wrong old model is 8 vavle & new engine
is 16 vavle.....correct me if wrong....LCII chasis very good better for
off road.....part available everywhere.....got ori, oem or cheaplak parts
just ur choice.....actually wat is ur LCII year? is that recon or
malaysia one....RM38k a little bit higher....since now diesel rise
price....so demand for diesel or 4x4 is low....so market pricing will low
too...try to neg with the seller....if not wrong 1KZ engine also a
thirsty engine too....don play play now RM2.58 per liter already...think
twice....Smile

hi Willie,

it is a 1991 chasis, but 1996 engine and body - apparently this is very
rampant amongst LCII kaki. thanks for your input.

Tourist, you there? care to give me some pointers? thanks.

Hi. Having a hard time looking for a particular spare part for my 1997
Trooper 3.1TDi, concerning the front torsion bar. It's the "Height Control
Arm" located at one end of the torsion bar somewhere at the middle of the
car. Passenger side. It's used to control the height of the car and
extremely unlikely to break but mine broke and nobody seems to have it.
Was told KMA KK is now doing stock taking and not taking order or enquiry
for a week. Does anyone know any chop shop having this particular item? I
am also willing to buy brand new if necessary. Please provide me with phone
details because I am not from Sabah. Thanks.

Guys. Thanks for all the info lar.

I have been spending a lot of time on this forum just to check out which
4x4 i should take. I am nearly there i guess.

I now want to choose between Isuzu Invader, Rodeo, Dmax3.0L, and LCII
1TZ. I am actually more incline to go with Isuzu pickups.

Can you guide me through the following:

1. What is the difference between Invader and Rodeo in terms of chasis,
performance, engine and reliability? i have heard that Rodeo's ride is
real real pathatic is this true?

2. I will be seeing a 2001 Rodeo for RM38k in KL this weekend. it is a
2.8 Turbo Diesel Green Engine. Is there any special areas I should be
looking at?

3. I am also considering trading in my car for a new 3.0L Dmax, hence
taking away all the risks of owning a badly mantained car, as well as
better fuel efficiency. Do you all have any comments on this 3.0L Dmax in
terms of fuel efficiency after run in period, overall reliability and
maintenance issues? Been through the discussion in this forum, not much
on these info after a run-in period.

Thanks a lot for your help guys. I appreciate it really.

Isuzu Invader was assembled by Sabah's KMA. Rodeo by West Malaysia's ACM.
Same vehicle with some variation. For Trooper, KMA model generally tuned
for more "performance" and ACM slightly better 'screwed' together. Not sure
about pickup.

Tourist,

Hi, just like to let you know that I have opted for the 3.0L Landcruiser.

Thank you very much for your advice.

Any decision is a good decision as long as it's your decision.

3.0 Landcruiser? You meant Prado? IMO, Prado is a more maneuverable and
comfortable vehicle than Trooper in town usage. And parts are more plentiful.

Tourist,

Nevermind, aiks lets not confused ourselves with "Prado". Sorry man, I
started the confusion.

It is a Landcruiser II with 3.0L 1kz engine.
