I like to create this thread to start the discussion on the topic as
posted.
Like to hear from those who first ordered City and then switch to VIOS ?
Questions
1. What made you switch to VIOS ?
2. What were the features you were looking for when you ordered City?
3. Now that you have switched to VIOS, you sacrificed features of City
such as Steermatic, CVT, i-DSI, Ultra Seat, Up-class Interiors, 500litre
boot space, 16.8litre/km fuel consumption, futuristic shape design,
electric power steering, cheaper price, shorter waiting period, free
maintenance service and etc... Why not stick with City?

er... maybe because it is toyota?
hehehehe
IMHO, both cars are good. city have so many new features. but the main
factor is reliability. i am not saying that city is a reliable car. i dont
know about this steermatic, CVT, etc. and how reliable they are. but vios
is using the same technology with altis. and what i can see is altis dont
have problem with it.

Still deciding ... but in favour of Vios are; toyota, looks, presumed more
powerful, image, option for lower end model & seriousness is advertising.
In favour of City; honda, ultra seats, better looking interior, cheaper
& presumed technologically more advance

initially im going for CT too..
but when toking about reliability...
my past experience tell me that.. toyota is much reliable than honda..
i state this out not just simply im bias or not..
is that ..my family owned almost 3 generation of honda accord..
and also a EK civic.. all just fail my expectation...
and this vios is my family first toyota..
and i hav heard lots of good comments about toyota cars for its
reliability... even the volvo engineer also told me the same thing..
when we was toking about which car brand is reliable..

Looks like reliability is a deciding factor to switch to VIOS.
Are there any other factor besides reliability?
Is reliability the only criteria we based on to decide a car?

hehee...i think so...
like last time..i choose between 156 and s40..
luckily i choose s40... if not..i will be like my fren..
hav to visit his mechanic every 2 to 3 months regarding his gearbox..
noises...electronics problems..
eventhought how impressive..to hav the gears to play around..
but if its not reliable..i think is just a useless piece of plastic
buttons....
to me..
i do take the look..of the car.
performance..
brand..
reliability..
maintenance cost..
