Frankly speaking... about City`s exterior design...

When I visited the showroom, the exterior design was breathtaking at
closeup.

I asked the Toyota SA, and he said it will look very "K-style" when I see
it on the road. True enough I had to agree with him.

Now that there is substantial number of City on the road, I am beginning
to appreciate its exterior design. It looks good and sleek at most angle.
It is only the angle from the rear. The rear overhang seems to have
overdone. Other than that it really looks futuristic.

I must commend that Honda is very forward thinking when it comes to
designing cars. They are bold in their design, both exterior & interior
styling and innovative in engine & transmission design. I remember the
Civic took the M`sian market by storm years ago.

City is a good car and I believe many will agree to that.

In case anyone misconstrued my intentions for this thread topic. My
objective is to help distinguish the difference between both cars. Since
this is a Toyota forum, so my emphasis would be what makes people like us
to choose Vios over City.

Perhaps the Honda forumers can start "Why choose City rather than Vios &
Waja"

kinda agree with cshaw on the looks. i'm starting to think that it looks
okay (it won't win awards for design but it is acceptable). also agree
with you guys that the Jazz is a much better looker ... for only RM12K more
(i think can get discount) you get a better looking car and CBU Japan!
Oppsss .... back to Vios ... solli Tongue

It has the radical look. It will need time. When Altis was launched, the
look didn't appeal me but after some time, I have fallen in love with it.
Big Smile So, just give CT more time and you'll appreciate the look later on.

About City's body fluid shape...

I read somewhere the experience of City's owner / those that test drive
that the car experience "floating" when driving at high speed.

I wonder at what speed? What about VIOS at that speed? I hear that VIOS
experience a little oversteer when taking corners. I wonder whether better
tyres would improve the drivability?

About the "floating", its pretty strange right that City's CD is 0.29 and
Vios's is 0.30. City should perform better at high speed with better CD,
right?

What about suspension system, is there any difference between City and
Vios? I didn't read much about City's suspension. Somehow they put a lot
of emphasis on their i-DSI, CVT & Ultra Seat. Doesn't mention much about
their suspension system and road handling.

the following are the revised / updated deciding factors

1. Reliability
2. External shape design - longer appealing period
3. Stronger brake power
4. More powerful & responsive engine
5. Comfortable seat
6. Brand Name
7. Better resale value
8. Internal design
9. Flexibility
10. Service Centers - <bycourier> IMHO i m in Segamat, if i get a
toyota, i'll have to
travel to nearest Batu Pahat (100 km) to service my toyota.
11. Small Booking Fee on Honda City - Low cost of switching
12. Boot space & cabin room space not important - <by ghetto23> if need
more room space, should go for MPV
13. Uses branded air-cond system - Denso
14. Cobra label appears at the transponder unlike City do not have Cobra
name inscribed at the transponder. <by anek1>
15. Great driving dynamics. (Check out the test drive report from
www.motioncars.com). To me, this is important bcos u'll be driving the car
almost every time, more important then the interior or comfort bcos if u
don't enjoy the drive, how to buy....lah <by AthlonXP>

** new **

16. ...any more to add ??
