I took delivery of the car (black) this afternoon (supposed to be
yesterday) with tachometer reading at 26km. EON were kind to place the
national flag on the windscreen but that promptly flew off after I fueled
up at BP and drove at 50kmh.
Observations so far - There's a irritating noise coming from the Left
rear passenger window/side. Will let you know after I investigate.
The salesman suggested 3M tinting (shatterproof darker variety) @
RM1,800.00 and normal version (green tint) @ RM1,700.00. I haven't
decided yet.
Will update as I go along.

sankerli, congrats. That was fast. When did you booked the car? Care to
elaborate further on the noise? Please also share your experience on the
car especially on the performance aspects and FC. Autocar Malaysia stated
century dash of 10.5 secs - kinda meek to me. Maybe you can do a time
run? Of course if you decided to d it, do it safely.

As you would note from my posting on "MMM up to tricks", I booked the car
on 2nd day of launch (9/8), LOU from Bank on 14/8, paid difference on
14/8, road tax issued on 28/8 and delivery on 29/8: total 20 days.
I was told HQ (EON Glenmarie were only allocated 27 units from 1st
launch) and believe me I had to push and push to make sure I was not
pushed off the queue.
I will go for the darker safety tint next week (got visitors this week).
I also intend to add soundproofing material to the boot area (as advised
by one of our forumers) and maybe add some more speakers (if it is
economical)(at the moment, decent sound is at volume number 24 onwards,
otherwise it is wimpy).
I will change to nitrogen for the tyres and get them aligned and balanced
tomorrow morning.
I will wait until after 1,000km before I push the car beyond 6,000 rpm.
The irritating noise seems to have disappeared - maybe it was the petrol
tank lid - although it was 1/4 full when I took delivery, when I drove
into BP and took off the lid, there was a pressure let-off sound.
After starting the car, I can't hear the engine when idle. Will update
when I have more time on the car.
Though there were no scratches when I examined the car at delivery, there
are some swirls and hairline scratches already evident after 50km of
driving - black brings out the worst of these things!
