the Johnson KIT wax seems to be widely available. But is it good?
I have a can of the metallic wax.

What I am looking for is more of protection rather than just pure shine.

Sometimes I wonder if the claims abt some wax can last 3 to 5 yrs can be
true. If so, the cars manufaturer could have just added this for their cars
and it would shine at least for the next couple of years ;)

Cheers!

The wax widely available are not very durable. If you are looking for
protection, stick to sealants like Zaino or Klasse . others may chime in and
tell you where you can get it ;). I got it from SG last time. what colour's
is your car btw?

satelite silver ... CT :)

Its champaign Gold but under certain in lighting turns grey silver.

Are sealants wax too or polymers?
I heard polymersmay hurt paint although its more lasting.

The short answer is no..... I wouldn't recommend Kit wax.

Zaino, Meguair's and AutoGlym..... that's about it- as the Penang Proton boys have
discovered at KEC's recent Penang "How to Make a Car Owner Really Nervous When You're
Polishing" workshop.

since it`s silverish in colour, I would suggest zaino/klass`e . It`ll give
you the durability that you are looking for and very reflective look :)

Quoted by one of my friend :-

If you hated someone, recommend him "Kit" Wax on his car.

Thank you.

kla_sse is acrylic, if not mistaken similar Autoglym. Take note that the
brand klass_e is the same as carlack. I have seen a carlack distributor in
Sg (from their website), there might be one locally as well.
