I went to workshop to service my car. Saw a Satria 1.6 have change to a
Mitsubishi 1.6 V6 engine. Anyone know what is the original car for that
engine and what is the spec?

The engine is codenamed 6A10, similar to the PV6's 6A12. It's the smallest
V6 engine in the world. Quite popular among Wira/Satria modders. Dun know
anything beyond that.

From the proton club URL www.protonclub.com, this is a forum regarding on
the engine type. Here are the spec of 6A10 (1597cc) :

-V type 6 cylinder DOHC24 valve, ECI-MULTI, NA
140 ps (102.97 kw) / 7000 rpm, 15.0 kg*m (147.10 N*m) / 4500 rpm

Base on the formule Kilowatts to Horsepower- Multiply kW by 1.34 to get
Horsepower. So 102.97 * 1.34 = 138bhp. So almost same with stock Satri
GTI. And this engine, the top speed can goes beyond 200km/h

Wah.. a small cc engine with 6 cylinders... can ah?? Heard that for engine
2 litres and below.. 6 cylinders not that reliable as more moving parts..

Wah.. like that can hantam all the 1.8 and below Korean makes lar?? A
forum member from the New & Used car review said that a Getz can sprint in
10 secs... so nowhere near the Satria V6 lah??

Popcorn, based on the spec, it is like Satria GTI. So a Mivec engine can
bungkus the 6A10 engine. But if you have a Satria 1.3 and convert with
around RM5-6K, it is worth for the bhp you gain +- 140bhp.
That Getz is Matrix little brother... I don't think the pickup is that
good. Maybe can smoke kenari but not Satria 1.6 or 1.8 .

well.. buying a Gti second hand better than mod here and there as the Gti
comes with better interior, more features and already lotus-tuned with a
Mitsu 1.8 engine... bigger cc rules..
