Is the 1.6 Mivec more powerful than 1.8 DOHC Putra?. Both in stock form of course.

Are you comparing the 1st or 2nd gen. mivec ?.
i used to wipe GTI, Putra or even the ltd version of 1.8 (tiang gol)wira and even satria mivec (1st gen) few-few times before at highway with my mivec (2nd gen). I guess all of them should be in stock form la, so does my car.
Any comments guys?.

no comments, but just wondering why that guy said 'not really', and ended there. go on la, why shy-shy? to me, mivec is powderful, in stock or in modded forms. right? and i have witnessed one mivec, tapaued 3 generations of vtec, during some drag testing. the driver even lighted cigarette during the drag.

Mivec Not powerful?. Wah...we are talking about NA engines here. Not Turbo or supercharged.
I am talking about stock Mivec manual against stock manual Putra. If Putra also cannot tapau....then Mivec is really a pussycat engine liao.

A 1.6 mivec will outrun a Proton 1.8.
But not by much, and not very convincingly. You shift a little too early, or mess up the shift even a little bit, ie. drop out of high cam phase (this is actually very easy to do) the Putra's flatter torque advantage will pull level or even ahead.
I hardly call that tarpau-ing.

atx !!! yor friend 1.6 mivec lose to stock putra ? maybe the putra got 1.8 Mivec ... that's why his 1.6 lost heheheheh
leakwoon .. you thinking of putting mivec ? ei put wei !!! then call me to check it out.. now full engine conversion 6-7k i think..(i can recommend you to a place)
and what's this i heard about a car with 1.8 mivec pumping out 200bhp on paper ? a normal B18C with some medium mods can pump out more than that easily.
