New price for C3!!! It just increased RM10k more (ssiihhh...). The price
now at RM108,796 (OTR) for 1.6. What do you think guyz? Even below RM100k,
people still afraid to invest for 1.6. For more detail, contact: Amiruddin
Abd Kadir (GM, Directional - 03-9285 4999).

Good luck to directional! When I saw the C3 last Sunday at the PJ
showroom, I thought it was going to be hard to compete with the pricetag
of RM99k, but at RM109k, no way it can compete with the likes of the
Scenic and 307. Is not just the question of the engine capacity, but the
segment of the market they are hoping to attract. Wonder how much they are
asking for the Picasso?

Well vonnig, the C3 is certainly small enough, and can well be squeezed
into the rectum of the Directional people. Actually, while I was impressed
with the overall build-quality of the C3, the car is essentially a 4-
seater. I like the dash, the tiptronic-style tranny, the seats, the boot
space and the shape of it.

yeah... i agree with everything that citroen has to offer... i really love
the cuteness of it all but at that price tag... directional is simply
killing citroen in the market... they'll just help to accelerate the
death... then citroen will truly be classics...

what i'm really wondering is in what direction is Directional going? they
seem somehow lost in their overblown egos that Citroen is market leader
here... and they can aim for a niche market... but they seem to forget
that the niche market will not aim for them at that price and instead go
elsewhere... just because they receive numerous orders (if any at all)
during the first couple of days they think they can inflate the price well
over what the car is actually worth... go crap on yourselves
Directional... so sue me for bad mouthing and loss of income...

haven't seen the car, but at that price, people might as well go for the
Peugeot 206. heck 10K more u'll get an Alfa 147 1.6TS...heheheh! and how r
u going to convince the jap cars crowd? they could get a Sentra or Altis
with that sum.

If i was the CEO of Directional I will be shitting bricks in this market.
Firstly you can see more Xantias around than C5. Secondly, people like me
would still prefer to get a Xantia until Citroen can ensure the C5 is
just as reliable as the Xantia they want to replace. However this is
another issue but nonetheless, something not addressed very well too by
the local agent.

The Citroen C3 is a good car - so much so it is ranked just as good as
the new VW Golf and it drives better than it look too! But with the dying
market of the Citroen cars in Malaysia (i can see more Pugs than the Cit
and even now lately the new Renaults too) and given the reach and scale
of Directional, they are really underperforming.

It is left to die hard people like us who have to cari jalan to make our
cars shine in such a situation..and being not execptionally bright,
Directional seems not to know how to cultivate existing citroen owners to
buy or own another Citroen. This is a mark of failure on them.

Maybe citroen should pass over the dealership to Naza! Smile when you see
Autobavaria offering attractive loans package (and also now Volvo) to
snatch in buyers, you don't have to sit on your backside and do nothing!
