hi berlingo2,

55000km... your berlingo is quite new. Everything must be in good
condition. still very enjoyable.

I changed my timing belt at 72,000KM. I didn't change the water pump that
time, because no leakage. But, a bit regret when it reached 110,000KM.
Although no leakage, but the water pump created some noise during cold
startup. After that, went to workshop and changed it then pay extra labor
charge. May be you can consider to change your water pump with timing belt
together.

Hi berlingo2,
my timing belt was changed 3yrs ago. Timing belt+Bearing+Labour is
~RM500.00. Water pump+Labor is around RM210. If you change all Timing
Belt+Alternator Belt+Water Pump together... then you will save >RM100 of
labor cost.

Normally, Alternator Belt and Water Pump can drag to higher mileage...
Virtually, it seem like save our pocket money. But, we go to change it
separately and we pay for additional labor cost. It seem like same. So,
change all together might be easier for us to monitor. This is just my 2cent.

Mine one is Berly I... But, should be similar design for both version. Just
open you engine bay.
Look at the right side of the engine. It should see a black plastic cover
covering the right side of the engine from top to bottom. Inside the black
color plastic cover is the timing belt.
At outside, you can see the alternator just sit behind your engine near to
the steering and the aircon compresor just sit infront of of engine near to
the radiator. There will be a belt for alternator and a belt for air-con.

if you want more detail info.. you can ask Tony from euromotive.. because
he is berly owner and very familiar with berly...

If I'm not my Berly2 only have one belt attach to alternator, power
steering and aircond compressor. Change its once at EXD ukay for RM80++ if
not mistaken.

from what I understand, berly 1 got 2 bells while berly 2 got only one bell,
so onece loose bell, then can not jalan alreadyBig Smile, berly 1 is difference,
one for aircond and one for alternator +.......so if aircond bell loose,
only no aircond but still can jalan, price wise, not much difference.
