Hi my malasyian friebds,
This is Ramy from Egypt. I had a previous Proton Persona '13, but unfortunately i had a total loss accident with it. Now, i M thinking of re-buying a new proton but i needed to know if there a stability difference between the gen2 as "almost" hatchback and the persona as sedan.
Thanks and best regards,
Ramy

gen2 is shorter....but the plus is the car felt lighter/more nimble than persona.....

and since it was hatchback style, u can fold rear seat to flat and put bigger luggage at the back....such as sofa, freezer, cupboard etc etc....

sorry to hear the total lost of your persona, i thought the stability and handling of persona/gen2 could not fits your requirement. and since gen2 has stopped production in malaysia, no one would talk about it anymore since this was the car with the worst quality ever produced...
you should look into the new proton preve, suprima s, or iriz which have the stability and traction control fitted. smile_tongue.gif

yep..adven..if your option of buying new car limited to only proton gen2, get the gen2 cps model only...the other model (which is using basic campro engine) is quite lazy during town drive..and throttle response quite lagging....

but if u have a selection of newer proton model lineup such as saga FLX,preve cfe, suprima S, then go for that...much better car than the gen2

Thanks, bro. Unfortunately here in Egypt from Proton as new cars, we have only the Gen2 and Persona Elegance.
The Gen2 is not equipped with cruze control as the Persona, plus that the Persona has wider space for the rear passengers.

Unfortunately both of Persona and Gen2 come equipped only with the IAFM, there are no CPS model here.

SO I have to choose between those 2 cars.
