Dear All Saga Car Owner,

Recently my Saga FLX SV (low spec) check engine light appear on my dashboard.
After I send to Proton Pandamaran Service Center.

They claim that my TCU system melt.
Before that I got install a brake lock system and front door speaker on my car.

Now my car still hanging inside the service center almost 2 week.
(The reason i get from them is waiting approval for changing parts)

The service person explain about the TCU and ECU bla bla bla, and those i dont understand at all.
Can anyone can give me some advice and anybody facing this problem?

Thanks.

is it the cvt light or check engine light?

i doubt your tcu is the problem as it wont take more than a week for a tcu to arrive.
not sure if flx have standalone tcu or built in the ecu.

i think the problem is in the gearbox.

TCU melt ? excessive heat eh ?
you shud send to the kesas COE for faster replacement.

my advise. do not add anything on the new car during warranty period. else they might claim that you void the warranty by tampering. even thou a small stuff like speakers and led light. they will still rule out that you are tampering. you might not able to claim warranty for this. even thou it is not related, they will claim it for sure. you may argue with them on this but it may take a very long process of complaining, explaining, writing letter, fill up forms, bla bla bla..

some center will ignore this and cont fixing. but there is some other center that strict follow the book.

brake lock system wont melt the ECU n TCU. Its come with relay socket and switch.

I believe is your speaker current tapping causing the issue. How the accessories guy tapping the current for ur speaker?

pedal lock/brake lock wont causing issue because it's come with relay socket.

unless his accessories guy tapping the current wrongly without using the socket come with.
