hi all sifu,
Since there is still no one start to talk about teana, lets start now.
I am really impress on the design and spec given especially on the 2.0xl, but I have doubt on the after sale service whether up to
standard or not?
Design= impress
spec= good
comfort = need go test drive first , but I guess should ok
reliable = not sure
power = so so , but gd enough for family
after sales service = ??
Maybe some previous owner can share some experience.
thanks

I just test driven the 2.5XV and must say in my personal opinion
1. Liked the quietness of the cabin. More quiet than the J32. Engine when rev hard does not produce much noise as well. Really well insulated
2. Liked how the new CVT works. It behaves more like conventional without revving the engine too much in the beginning. Felt more power that way
3. Liked the new center console display with lots more info
4. Liked the plush seat. Going back after the drive to my J32 can feel the diff.
5. Liked the lesser body roll when cornering. The 17-inch and stiffer suspension are helping.
6. Of course all the safety features that come without extra cost ...
Don't like
1. The black interior, somehow IMHO, dust are clearly visible in black interior. Beige is more classy and do not need much dust clean up for people who knows how to maintain it
2. No auto seat return which is helpful for taller folks. No memory seat. No big concern actually as this is just for convenience
3. The stiffer suspension means can feel all the bumps as well which is not to my liking. Prefer softer tune as a family car
4. No multimedia display, no GPS and smaller screen which no big deal as well. Frankly if want to have GPS prefer the mobile type where you can bring anywhere rather than stuck to a car. No big deal at all
5. No more wood grain finishing, somehow lost the classy feel but should be good for younger folks ...
In summary, it is designed more appealing to the class of young executive and cover wider demo group which makes sense. Bye bye to the strong association to family sedan and older generation target market...

Just test drive 2.0 XE.......its look sporty and the steering feel solid compared to my J32 2.0XL... The fabric seats looks durable but a little bit hard...standard audio remote on steering on all models
Black interior feel cramp..... the NVH is more or less same with my J32......but the suspension feel stiffer and solid ....i like the projector head lamp..... Xenon only on 2.5....got 6 airbags...TCSABS,EBD, Hill Assist etc. ....very nice but its not warranted enough for me to change my existing J32....

Good read ...

Nissan Teana 2.0 XL (RM149,800 with insurance) – The only real competition for the Accord. The Mazda 6 and Volkswagen Passat appeals to a very different crowd who wouldn’t seriously consider the Accord anyway, while the Toyota Camry today appears to be merely feeding off its past glory, leaving the all-new Teana as the Accord’s only real competition.
It is much more comfortable than the Accord, and handles slightly better too. The Teana’s longer list of safety features and its exclusive priority after-sales privileges are a major plus point.
Only weakness to the Teana is its unimpressively designed interior. Its lack of a GPS navigation feature is a contention for some, but personally that’s not an issue at all as Waze and Google Maps works so much better and is already the primary navigation solution used by most drivers.

don't you think the 2.0 is way under power with 136ps ? Normally, 2.0 should have 155ps.
What is the fuel consumption for 2.0 ?

Hi...
I just traded in my J32 for the new L33... If you searched the older posts (way back in 2011), you will find my postings on my J32... The L33 to me is a much better drive, more composed and handles better while still very comfortable... Features-wise, it is, of course, an upgrade from the sunroof to the Bose sound system to the reverse camera and parking sensors (with visuals)... More spacious too... Also the rear seats can now be folded down... Only thing that I noticed that was a downgrade was the boot hinges - J32 had better ones... Comes shod with Micheline tyres too...
