From the star news: proton has invested RM500mil in R&D for green technology; to roll out commercial hybrid electric vehicles by 2014. Wonder how much on the road.

I just owned Prius C in June 12. Quite good the car response and fuel consumption. 1 litre managed drive up to 24km if Eco Mode is pressed.

However, found that the dashboard is rattle/ noisy especially in hot sun. Need complain soon.

I guess u can manage to go for 700km+. Rattle also comes from the door or near to seat belt area, very irritating. Quite wobble on certain highways when the road smooth but not even. All these from my friend. Thought of buying one but after knowing the problems can't decide. How is your mileage now?

I'm a prius c owner since 25th of may.
The FC is superb. So far the best FC per full tank is 24.8km/llitre (normal mode) which can go around 789km.
The pickup is superb also. Top speed 185km/h and got speed limiter.
Yess..agreed...the dashboard got rattle sound but still minimal.
To be frank..I just tested drive honda jazz hybrid. Still cannot beat prius c on throttle response and stop go pickup. Prius c is just superb on that.
Prius c steering is lighter than honda jazz.

Sampan handling on prius c very irritates me. So, the solution...I put the stiff ring a.k.a collar ring on the subframe at the front and axle beam at the back. The result is superb and significant. Eliminates those woobling and sampan feel. Taking a sharp corner also getting better and more confidence.

Prius c can reach 33km/litre for a journey of 40km. One of the members of Hybrid synergy driver Malaysia (facebook group) had done that. Amazing isn't it?

Servis interval is 10k km for semi-syn engine oil and fully-syn. Honda hybrid only 5k km for semi-syn.

Honda service interval is now 10k km for the new Civic Hybrid 2012.
A much much bigger & comfy car - Minus the total petrol shut off compare to Toyota.
I am getting around 17+ km/litre & full tank - 715 km - Handling is good & no interior noise (only standard low rolling resistance tyre is noisy on rough road).

Hi, May I know what is the meaning of Sampan handling? I though tht it has TRC for the car? Should be a good thing for it.
Besides, the best u can do is 185km/h because of speed cut is it?
Thank you in advance for any member's advice.

Just got a few questions for the prius C owner. Before I go and book one. Thank you.

1) Can it handler less then a feet height of flood water on the road? coz I concern about the location of the battery...
2) Travel on highway, does it have the wobble feeling like kancil when a heavy lorry pass by?
3) The foot space at the back seat is comfortable to travel outstation?
4) How's the power? slow pick up after traffic light stop?

Appreciate advance for any answer from the prius C owner. Cheers!!!!
