Just an update. Collected my car back from the SC and all issues fixed. I had to pay for the O2 sensor though because the warranty for it is only 1 year. Argued with the SC about warranty for engine being 3 years and he showed me a list that showed different warranty timelines for different items.

I checked in the Service booklet and sure enough the list is shown there too. So as usual, we the consumers get hit with the fine print. Had to pay RM320 for the sensor. smile_angry.gif

I also told him about haribulan's case and according to him, there are 3 suppliers of parts for Chery in China. So depending on your luck, if your car gets a batch of parts which are not so good, then your experience just might be bad. So again, it comes down to the question of QC. I guess I can thank my lucky stars my car is in the "good" batch...

My chery easter at last bring home after 7 weeks put in the SC for claiming ECU. I am not sure they changed it our not. But the gearbox now back to normal. FC is the same around 8/L highway or city seems is the same. I did booked a ford ranger, so asked for trade in....15months easter cost 30K. So i keep it for my second car. One thing very sure totally no resale value.
Anyway 83K MPV is like that. But one thing I am sure is the comfort. This car very comfortable and as GTti said very usable and making sense space. And very stable on high speed. Pickup really not bad. Curving also very good. But the engine sound and win prove is really bad. Got money maybe can modify the sound proof.
Aircon is loud but cool enough. Don't drive your car near by Durian store you will smell it. Coz no air proof at all.
Interior is plastic, very easy broke.
I will keep this car till it fully brake down.
BTW, tested the Exora bold before to Ranger. Seems ride is worst than easter. Power, well.......personal feel only...still 1.6 during pick up. Comfort, just personal feel...easter more better. Even my Jap customer also said suprisingly chinese car comfort.
haha.....I AM REGRET to take this car anyway.....Chinese car still far behind others yet. (Not the mainland one)
SC told me the air filter will replace once their OEM maker produce the actual size for it....dunno know when....so during bypass durian store have to speed up to avoid smell come in..haha

At last get the car back after 7 weeks. Now FC better (9/L) as normal. Don't expect much on a 2.0 car for 10+/L with only 4 gear.
Will repair the door clicks for next services. BTW, engine is still ok (sound like my recent DMAX), put some soundproof stuff should be ok. Will keep this car.
