hey guys i am gonna be getting a new inspira soon. I ordered a red one. And then the drama unfolds.

My salesman who promised have no problem with colors (and I confirmed I want a red) later after my loan has been passed in three days, surprisingly tells me that he can get me a red color as long as i can write a short letter to the bank mentioning that i wish to transfer a particular red inspira from a non familiar dealer A to dealer B (this salesman). This is very weird and I argued I wont do it as I have never ever come across such a setup before with all 5 cars i have owned bfore. So that idea is dropped n i am demanding to hv my car soonest. His complaint his dealership has no allocation for red. I find this amusing.

So the question is. why neverending story of such salesman, dealer n proton. I thought proton salesmanship shd hv been improved together with brand! Btw, I still have good relationship with the dealer so I wont name.

ur input guys, and anyone frm proton can take note n advice?

this is my take and based on a my experience... it may vary now.

i think there is no stock / no order at dealer A. some dealer order from proton by batches ( end of week, twice a month or depending on how many customer they get ) some of them will start order when they reach quota.. meaning that they will start order if they got around eg.. 5 unit of the same car model in some period of time.. ( maybe a week ) and resulted in longer waiting time.. sames goes with color..

in order to get the car faster for customer.. some salesman do check with other dealer ( eg.. dealer B ) that might have stock.. as the bank loan is between bank payable to the dealer A. they need to transfer the payment to dealer B.

instead of the salesman asking you to write the letter.. you ask the salesman to prepare for you instead, and you just sign it..

( dealer has to pay proton for every car their stock in upfront )

Thanks mosh,

If that is the case, then I have no complaint. since there is no catch there. But to be on cautious side I would rather simply wait abit and get the car from the same dealer without all this unnecessary signing letters. As much as trust are on the papers, I believe prevention of untoward issues is simply better option. But this may differ with others who arent so fussy probably.

Ive got good news, im receiving car next week from the same guy.

And by the way, inspira is purely value for money for its make and genetics.

Regards

My wife collected her 2.0p today.

First impression. Ride n handling very good. Balanced. Power can't tell coz did not tekan. Not used to cvt. When accelerating, the engine sounded strained and progress moderate. Hver, when speed attained, cruising was surprisingly acceptable, even bodering on refine at speed not exceeding national speed limit. No complaint on jerkiness of cvt in town driving.

So far so good.

Its so good to cruise in it. For the price is so worth it. The other guys who buy City or vios are getting a smaller cabin but excellent fuel economy. But here its spacier cabin but moderate full economy. And built wise Im compromising the proton substandards I can see here and there. Im surprised for a car company of 20+ yrs, they still have got substandard issues here and there, quite hidden mostly.

if really drive normal/sanely inspira 2.0cvt can get very good fc n comparable with the vios/city.
as for quality yea any makes sure will have issues only minor or major.

nikkoki,

cvt needs to get use to it as its smooth n stable in changing gearings etc so u cant feel the pwer shifts but its fast whenu use the sports mode/paddleshifters
