I am still driving my 2002 1.6a Waja.. Initial headache plenty, rectifying endless issues when new.. these days hardly see issues as I have rectified it.. now clocking 170,000 km... for long term use, is best if you can identify a good and honest mechanic that does proper trouble shooting and is confident enough to provide warranty for his own work. At the end of the day.. you will know your car better and perhaps even have your favorite car spare shop to get parts..

If money no object, then you can leave the car to the authorized service center to do the service/repair.. that also, there may not be any guarantee that issues is fixed properly at lowest cost to customer..

Cars being cars, you need to budget for service and repairs... there is service life to every single part of man made item.. is just a matter of the interval to next failure.. Proper maintenance will avoid costly and avoidable issues..
