Hi, I followed the complaint about the "tak tak" sound mentioned by cpmboy. Just to let you know, I have had the same problem before but managed to trace it. It was caused by the throttle cable knocking on the suspension mount. Just pop up the bonnet and find where the throttle cable appears from the fire wall. Then swing it and if it knocks against the suspension housing, just tie it with some cable tie to prevent it resonating at a particular rpm.

I was so delighted when I managed to get rid of the rattling sound. Hope this will help.

Hi,

Is there anybody had experienced extra noise in the engine? I'am experiencing it now. It's like soft noise but still can hear from outside and even in the car. Nx week will be going to SC to check. What is your normal idle RPM reading?

Thanks.

hi all,

It is true that the if stand close to engine bay, the only sound you can hear is the fan and nothing from the engine. I am starting to hear some soft knocking sound coming out when I stand close to the car, at start up the sound is even more evident. When warmed up, the sound is still there but softer...

ZMT, please refer to Newowner explaination above, there is one metal cable that is touching the body wall near the absorber housing. Tie it or put some sponge to prevent it from touching the body.
