QUOTE (signals888 @ May 10 2012, 12:15 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
My Suzuki SX4 is still under warranty. Part of the side car mirror rubber came off. Got it check by the service center in PG. the mechanic confirmed that it is a manufacturing defect and made a claim for me. initially the mechanic told me the part will come in within 3 weeks to 1 month. waited for 3 weeks, no news. called the service center to follow up. was told have to wait for 6 weeks (which is another 3 weeks) as Suzuki Malaysia in KL has no stock and have to order from Japan. Ok, again waited. come 6 weeks, still no news. called the service center again. was told that Suzuki Malaysia challenged the service center findings that it is a manufacturing defect as based on their record, no such claim was made before. the PG service center said they have appealed for me and have to wait for the outcome. again, waited for another 2 weeks (have waited for 10 weeks in total), still no news. called up the service center again, was told that the part will arrive within 2 weeks time (10 weeks in total). again, waited. called up the service center today to follow up again as 2 more days will be 2 weeks (which is 10 weeks in total). the service center informed that they are not sure whether the parts will come in or not.

Well, I informed them that I am disappointed of buying suzuki car as when I buy the car that time, I was being told and given the assurance that spare parts replacement are not an issue at all. and now what has happened? i informed them that if the parts do not arrive within the mentioned 2 weeks, I will seriously consider lodging a complaint with the Consumer Association of Penang.

Suzuki car spare part replacement is terrible!!!

Make the complaint at CAP. Call them and tell them about it. Next tell them you are planning to go public,ie newspaper,on the poor and unacceptable customer support and service. If that does not get you the remedy, go public with complete details. They will be very unhappy you going public cos that will affect sales! Good luck bro!

It has been nearly 2 years since the first post in this thread. I would like to know the current situation regarding the spare-parts availability in Malaysia. Does it improve or bad as 2 years before?
