i just want to share my experience regarding gab ss, its good n its worth it..(d cheapest in town for fully adjustable, monotube and its fully threaded as well)..
at 1st i m a bit hesitated n petrified of using any kind of coilovers n adjustable, because tried few n hell! a bumpy no comfort ride..ive tried tein, hotbits, apm, blistein.(not my ride btw)..but my current absorber was dying on me(i potong-ed d springs) and at d same time i wanna to set my ride height not as high as standard n not to low as sports spring..so..i bought d gab ss..and im hoping to get handling withou sacryfising comfort too much..
the seller ask me to try his car that is installed with gab ss, d standard comes with 8k spring rate front n 6k rear..15cliks both(full click soft to hard is 32)..and i felt a lil bit bumpy n bouncy..so i discuss with him la..yad yada i opt to take 7k front n 4k rear..n m loving every minute of it..it handles well, a bit bumpy but still ok, n no complain from my wife n daughter..
here some detail about gab ss n mysetting
price:rm2300 including installation(was told that d price was rm3k&rm2.8k last year)
ss spec:monotube, serviceable, heigt n soft hard setting, fully threaded(it wont compress d spring if we adjust),32 clicks,
my setting:7k front(2 fingers) 15 clicks, 4k back(3 fingers)15 clicks
my view:pothole and road humps not a problem, harshness is tolerable,n not to much i say none! if i set to full soft(0) clicks,it is softer than stock abs..
anyway d gab ss is in my ride only 2 days.. i will review back a year later about it durability n build quality(heard a lot about gab ha,leakin here n there, abs became softer etc.)
the cost to fix=rm200 per piece or just trade in with new rm350 after warranty period is expired
fast and reliable wont b cheap
reliable and cheap wont be fast

Bro
Nice!
Could you test for the cornering? I use sport spring with sport abs. The problem is when corner at bumpy road the bound n rebound is not so linear (can feel body rolling n sort of 'skipping')
The click can adjust by yourself or need special tool?

hehe, yup its been a while, actually im quite shy la, because in other thread i discuss engine upgrade so intense n planning to plonk big vtec..but after 4 months and after rm7k++ later (not even a dime i spend on engine ) im still stuck with sohc single cam honda..hehe(im thinking to join in after i swapped)

hmmm, 1stly please bear with my "kampung-ish" explanation because to me suspension system is a rocket science..(i can understand d complexcity of an engine or ICE better".. and im not a track kaki..hehe good for them maybe bad for me.
1. hump bound and rebound
its go up like a rocket(maybe spring rate coz this), but it goes down smooth n tak terasa.
2. wavy road at 90-100kmh(jalan yang beralun panjang)
when sank(tenggelam) u can feel that u,ur car n ur suspension system as one..dont feel like diving wat so ever
when rise(after sank) noe u can feel u n ur car as one,but ur suspension isanother system separetly
so my conclusion is, bound n rebound not so linear but not too much, still acceptable,(bear in mind that my setting not come as standard, setting and for a period of a week, foc for any changes..so i test kow kow lah..hehe
i still wants comfort, spring rate n abs rate changes.
3.bends n corner
well what i felt when doin 80kmh on d same bend(stock suspension), i felt d same when doin 120kmh with gab ss( body roll felt with greater speed)
but dunt know how to say..syoooook lah, rasa macam lekat dekat jalan macam gam!
4.weight test n handling
i ask my friend (2 at d back and 1 at passenger seat beside me) just to test how it handle with heavy load, n i put some box of files n paper at d bonet..superb! tak rasa turun, tak rasa senget watsoever, handles well bound n rebound..humps n pothole no problem at all,(maybe because stiff spring rate than standardn n d 2/3 jari height helps)..but i did adjust the hard soft setting 1st la..got 32 step
5.adjustable click tool(damping rate)
yup,its a tool, but u can leave it there(lock it) and everytime u wanna adjust just buka d bonet then adjust,so simple like setting a watch, pusing kanan n kiri..a bit hassle at d back because must remove carpet
harshness on uneven road, not so deep pothole, wavy road is not a problem..i sincerely think that the monotube structure n AVCS system works! n not a marketing gimmick..(cant say d same for gab HA,by d way)..
bare in mind that ive autofoam(comfort) n ive changed from 6.5 to 7" rims for better handling..the result may varies for any other car n driver expectation..i hate the falken 912 so badly at 1st, but not after change to gab ss.. i feel d full potential of that tyre! konar tak masuk jalan orang, less body roll etc.. the downside are:-
1) addicted and so preoccupied to find d right setting, jalan sikit tuakar setting,(stop d teppi jalan)..hehe
2) tyre noise became more loud

not really bumpy...i would say as its just too firm for her....since she was extra padded type of body so the jolts/shocks makes her a bit pain all over body....
(*me got no problem at all with 8k spring...in fact i love 8k spring more than the 6k spring)...
the only bumpy felt when on highway at near RnR seremban stretch..(from melaka to kl) where got a few spot with undulation....funny also when the car jump jump jump a bit....
