Most people does not even know what Lotus is and what CPS is.
They just go for Neo bcoz to them its 'sporty'.

Neo CPS is more expansive bcos the chassis is different from normal NEO.

Different chassis means different platform which cost easily a few hundred million. Are u sure cos if this is true, it would mean that Proton would never be able to recover the cost. As it is, they are barely recovering the cost of the normal NEO.

Seem NEO CPS have very good feedback from the owner....
smile_approve.gif

wonder why there is not pearl white instead of Solid White?
by the way....
I really get shock the "Satria NEO" sales is better than "GEN2 CPS"
and GEN2 CPS is cheaper than Satria NEO CPS
smile_shock.gif

Agreed. I personally think that the Gen.2 CPS is far better value for money than the Neo.

Gunnerzz probably meant that the chassis of the Neo CPS was tweaked differently than the standard Neo. For a start, the front and rear tracks of the Neo and Neo CPS differ slightly, which means slightly different suspension geometries although the components and ingredients are the same.

More like surefooted handling but I'd prefer even track width for front & rear. I honestly doubt any chassis strengthening done on the CPS variant. Stock Neo chassis is stiff enough to begin with...

From the brochure,
The re-engineered Satria Neo CPS is built from super rigid high tensile steel, making its structure
twice as solid as before. Added strength and rigidity in strategic areas affords you steady ride and handling.

If i translate the drawing into words correctly,The improved area are:
Dash panel cross member
FR side member
Bumper beam
Close loop B pillar ring
FR floor reinforecement

just got my cps a week plus currently 1400km already. fly here and there smile_big.gif
anyways love the exterior. solid doors. heavier though cause of the bodykit.
but the wipers and some parts of the interior's quality is still bad. my speaker cover at the back came off. rear middle seat belt won't retract properly. the wipers hits the side of the windscreen on fulll swing wtf. hopefully the air bags won't deploy as plasic bags from giant. smile_approve.gif

I guess u can really feel the extra power at 4500 rpm as only then it switches to high cam. but any lower than that on 1st and 2nd gear <4500rpm no power. -__- fuel consumption is very good when driven around 3k rpm on average. can reach 400+-km on 50 litres.

will update on any problems after 2nd service and some minor mods. ^^ cheers

Congrats bro.

The wiper can be adjusted. If u know how then DIY lah.

I did not experienced any of your problem.

Do check if there is 'tuk3' sound when the engine is running.
U can hear this sound by sitting inside the car and switching the radio off.
It like coming from the center console however i'm sure its coming from the engine as the sound is not there when the engine is off.

Push it hard to enjoy the car full potential.
Dont let the tyre squeql scare u.
When pushed hard during cornering, the rear will step out a bit to sharpen the turning.
Once u get used to this, there is no way u will slow down when u see a bend.

Only thing lacking is extra horses.Yes the high lift cam is very much welcomed but i want more power to match its handling ability. On 4th and 5th gear, the high lift cam does not help much.

Oso, did u notice that the window switch is doing the opposite action from the pic printed on the power window switch?

Hi guys. I'm new here. I am currently driving a 2002 Proton Iswara A/B 1.3 (M) and it's time for a change. The only car I'm willing to pay for is Satria Neo CPS. But I'm worried about the reliability of this car. As been heard, there are 'kluk kluk' sounds and other problems here and there. So, can I have any advice and explanations on whether or not to proceed with this car?

My budget is around 60k for a Malaysian car (cos maintenance cheaper smile_big.gif ).

Cheers

As u mention, u are only willing to pay for Neo CPS.
Then by all mean go for it.
Only go for the manual version. If u want auto then go for normal Neo.
There is one white Neo CPS in melaka.Owner bought it at motorhub Malim Jaya.

If u need space then go for Waja CPS.However, i dont recall the price.
On reliability, no car is defect free. Not even the Japanese.
The cost to rectify the problem is the main concern.
