Bosch is well known. However go to Tesco and read the box of a Bosch power tools, its made in China.
I am not saying china made is lousy. Its the qc to be blame.
Its not all proton's fault as they should discover it during the thousands of testing miles if its a design problem.
Its normal for some manufacturer or supplier to loosen their qc when they have secured a contract.
Its when they loosen it too much this sort of thing occur.

Have u guys heard of the warping disc of toyota camry?
Toyota is reputable and know as a very reliable brand but a warped disc?
Last time Merc also affected by blown turbo, not here but model in germany.

Guys, tq for enlightening, agree to what u said.. I'm not trying to be negative here, to me if the product is good, then i will
definitely tell everyone its good..
I'm hoping proton to be more pro-active in facing issues like this, i.e; having some sort of measure to ensure the faulty
parts will not be install into our CFE bold again.. I'm sure a big brand like proton should get back to their vendors & sud
have some sort of tracking for bad parts & doing stringent audit often for their vendors.
Proton has to realize that by installing bad parts into our cars, they are putting their consumer in danger..
Product like smart phone, doesn't effect much comparing to the danger for a problem vehicle on the road..
My apology, if anything I say here may hurt anyone feelings. I juz like to share the good & bad experience here & hoping
that whoever SC found the solution to these problem able to help & share, same goes to me..
Will keep u guys inform... Crossed my fingers... wink.gif

Cheers..

I was told, if the problem is due to faulty parts supplied by outside supplier like Bosch, then Bosch will have to foot the bills for the repair. If that is true, that will force the supplier to supply better quality parts.

I prefers to use my head than follow the crowd. After all, it is my money and not theirs.

The bad thing is the car manufacturer got the bad repo not the vendor.
I still redall proton ceo tengku mahaleel once did admit that some of proton's vendor doesnt make the cut but they had to get parts from these vendor for stupid reason.

I was angry b4 with the iafm problem as i had to change it twice.
Once the problem exploded they did find solution and now i beleive iafm problem is history.

Agree, to this statement.. P1 might have all the system established, but if P1 vendors are selected base on "good favors" rather
than quality first, then P1 is digging their own grave.. smile_dead.gif

Guys, I'm back for some update. Today, I got my EB CFE, which was diagnosed with CPS OCV valve for the 2nd time through
my 6 months ownership of this CFE shit..
Honestly, I don't have high hope on P1 that this maybe the last time I visit their SC with OCV problem. I've tested my CFE
today, under my usual driving condition & found all are back to normal.
Nothing unusual found on the job description compared to the last one, except that this time they had changed the engine oil!!
(Not sure why they did this..) I was told that the engine oil rated 10/30W was used.
Was also told that P1 are well aware of this problem & trying their best in solving it. They said, OCV valve installed in my EB
is from latest version.. Let's see & hope that this problem will be history... Wish me luck, guys... wink.gif

IMO, 10W30 is the best oil for CFE. Doesn't matter whether it is Mineral or Synthetic as long as it is 10W30, even better than Synthetic 0W30

So u mean 10W30 is the best, its also recommended by P1; stated in the owner manual also. Any info regarding other oil rating
may shorten the OCV lifespan??
