I've read about how to avoid your car from being tow by tow truck..

one of the tip is..don't park ur car reverse..and lock ur steering..
so, it's hard for them to tow the car..

I think is good if we back to cowboy era.... they park the horse and tie
them to the pole infront of the bar...

We can do the same also, use chain to protect our car from this problem,
tie our car to the lamp post or to the other car, or ask the parking
operator to provide the hook at every parking slot.

I believe this is the best solution... rather then to install the anti
theft gadget which will cost you hundreds or thousands RM

cheers

Forget those expensive Immobilizers, Alarm etc... nobody gives a damn if
the alarm triggers anyway. Get a pedal lock like the Autolock, together
with a steering lock and if possible get a MPPJ wheel lock gerenti your
car will be safe even when parked in a dark area for a few months.

i posted in the other column bout my friend's waja GPS tracker (see
topic: Gold Vios Stolen).

last friday, another friend of mine (drives Rav 4 2002) got her leftside
door lock removed at 12 noon. She parked along a main road outside her
office at Hicom Shah Alam. around that time, her colleague spotted some
guys tampering wit her car from upstairs of the office.

When she went down to check, they had already left with the lock (the
entire door lock kit), presumably to make a copy of the key but then
someone alerted her that some of the thieves were still around (parked
opposite of the main road observing her car).

She ran into the office and came out wit few colleagues. The thieves stil
sat in their cars to observe(2 cars) but left when they saw they were
getting too much attention.
