i have continental tyres on mine. same manufacturer as your sime tyres.
mine is not that noisy except for my balancing running so far 3 times
since i got my car in june. and i have only gone around 4.5k.

what is your mileage now? could it be the wear and tear? have you
checked with your SC on it? please call Hcmb, En. Rahman Ahmad, who may
be able to refer you to the right place?

mileage now is 12800...havent check with the SC...do we able to solve
under warranty cover? Based on my friend infor...the problem come from the
tyres...b'cos sime tyres is low grade one...dont know why in the first
place they used sime tyres? maybe trade in my hankko tyres and replace
sime tyres...so they can gain from it?

please contact hicomobil on this matter and give it a try as if i am not
mistaken, tyres are guaranteed more than 12 months? i believe your aveo
is still within the 12 months period.

get hcmb's advise and further contacts in sime.

i have write a letter to the after sales services manager (MR Rahman) on
last sunday...but until now...no feedback...it really make me ;(

this is the mail I send to him:Dear Mr Rahman Ahmad,

Still remember me, my name is Lo Chiow Min. I have
highlighted my brake problem (will vibrate when I
press the brake). The problem solved. I am very
appreciated for your help and more confidence to your
after sales service. Well done.
My car is Aveo bought on March’04. My car have an
accident (bang by other car on right side or driver
side door and tyre, the tyre went forward and not
balance) before on May’04 and already fixed by Malacca
SC (Edaran NHL S/B) panel workshop and claimed under
third party insurance. Yesterday I have my car tyres
alignment and balancing. They found out that my car
suspension balance is not correct. The wheelbase (mm)
is not same for both sides. The left side is exactly
2480mm as same as specification stated at manual book.
However, the right side or driver side is about
2490mm, more 10mm. The unbalance supposed will eat the
rim when I have full turn, but they (previous panel
workshop) just solve the problem by simply putting a
round metal on the rim (as per attachment). To make a
space between the rim and others. They suppose to do
the suspension balancing to make sure the weelbase for
both sides is as same as specification stated in the
manual book. This is consult and advice by other tyre
alignment workshop. The cost of repair is about RM150
if I need to solve the problem.
I can paid for it but actually, for my understanding
this cost supposed bear by insurance company, I am nor
satisfied on it, I feel I am “cheated” by the SC panel
workshop. They supposed perform the job professionally
and make sure all the thing is fixed in good term.
This is because the all cost will all bear by the
insurance company.

I am also scared the unbalanced suspension will also
affect my safety driving. This is what I more
concerned.

Also, I realised that the SIME tyres are so noisy when
driving and this is totally different with when I have
the test drive before I bought it. The tyres offered
to me supposed is Hankko brand. But I don’t understand
it change to SIME? This really make me headache.

Pls advise me on this unsatisfied. I really hope that
HICOMOBIL SC can perform very well in the before and
after sales service.

cmlo. Not all Sime tyres are bad but almost all are. Goodyear is better.
Michelin and Pirelli i like. Get softer and quiter ones. Normally tire
cannot tradein. If you have xtra & to spend OK. Otherwise just use for a
while then change all. Always do alignment and rotate tyres every 10K. Any
tires, cheap or expensive, will become noisy once the wear is uneven.
