I beg to differ. It is a very good price for a new 1.6 litre car imported
from Japan with airbags and ABS. At that price or even at RM100,000.00
the CBU Lancer has no rivals. It is popular in Singapore.

Performance to shout about? Which 1.6 litre sedan has performance to
shout about? Certainly not the Sentra 1.6. Nor the Altis 1.6.

By the way, the bodykit is a no-cost option so I presume it can be
deleted when the car is ordered?

Yea..it is a better car that my Wira 1.3 i.e. no rattling inside car,
silent if below 100 km/hr, better in term of comfort. Powerwise, still
can push 140 km/h with ease, but engine noise is apparently high at this
speed.

Currently done 2000 km for about 20 days. Mileage the best I can get is
6.5 liter / 100 km. That is driving from KL to Ipoh, round ipoh, back to
KL (partly on old road from ipoh to Tg Malim) which speed less than 110
km/h - during running in.

With CVT transmission, at constant 2000 RPM, i can go from 0 km/h to 80
km/h. At 110 km, the RPM is about 2600 RPM.

Verdict: This car is designed for city and suburb driving. Good vehicle
for those with light right foot.

Wah, with 5 yrs/100,000km warranty too.

I think the Lancer is a better buy than even the Toyota Vios (which is
one class below the Lancer).

I've sit in the Dome car before. Sorry to said sit inside recall me when
I sit in the Wira. No luxury feel at all.

But sit in vios will let me feel it is a new desidn car. Even Waja let me
feel better.

The only thing that Lancer win is the CVT gearbox. I can said, once you
drive a CVT gear box, you'll love it.

I dont understand, what performance are we talking about from a 1.6 car? It
should go like a rocket? Or it should handle like an EVO? I drove most of
the 1.6 cars from Toyota, Nissan, Honda, PROTON. Rubbish performance. Other
than the Waja, most of the cars have not even decent handling. Toyota may
have the best power delivery. But you dont get all of the lumped together
in any 1.6 cars. Give and take.

I think the only good thing about this Lancer is it is a CBU unit from
Japan. And as you all know, Japan cars are restricted in terms of size.
Even the JDM Corolla shares the same dimension...
