Tried to do a search on Mit Colt but none at AW. Anyone can share their

Just booked mine 2 days ago.

Hi S40,
Continuation from Optra 5 thread ;-)

"Hey Jack, Seems like you are very keen on Mit colt! Did u booked one as
well? heheheee.... Better don't discuss too much on colt coz it's a Chevy
forum :) Anyway, mine is 'gold' colour which I think it's more greyish. The
price I got is RM 83k on road and purchased it from SG. What about u?"

I am getting mine registered tomorrow. I bought mine from a 2nd hand dealer
that bought it from Mitsubish EON. I bought mine at RM83K OTR as well. What
sickens me is knowing that these used cars dealers got it from Mitsubishi
EON at RM69K.

My color is pale green. It was either that or the pinkish orange.

You say you bought it from SG. SG as in singapore? You in/from singapore?

Hey Jack,

I'm also getting mine registered today or tomorrow. Where did u purchase
yours from?

Wow... if the used car dealers gets from EON at RM69k, then it's really a
good deal for them! What to do? Everyone also want to make money. Just hope
that they deliver a PERFECT car! :) coz we are going to be with the car for
a long time ... :)

I bought mine from SG Motor, not singapore. It's located in Damansara. Got
it there coz I can actually see the car that I'm buying and also can test
drive to see if there are any problems.

Anyway, this is for my wife and not for me. I believe it's a great car but
no one seems to give any feedback on this.

Was contemplating Colt with Lancer as the price difference wasn't much.
Anyway, got the Colt coz it has the latest technology - Mivec, Time Keyless
Entry, etc. Plus, it's 5 years or 100,000km warranty, which is much more
than an Optra!

:)

S40,
i got mine from soon hing used car dealers in jalan kuching. the EON sales
guy recommended them to me. they had 3 cars on the lot for me to choose
from. 2 pale green and 1 orange.

i still haven't got my car yet. had trouble getting the number i wanted.
spent the whole day in jpj. by the time i got the number, it was too late
to complete the registration. so have to wait until tomorrow.

like you, i too am getting the car for my wife.

is SG Motor an Mitsubishi dealer or used car dealer?

Hey Jack,

Gotten your car yet? Am getting mine today. The salesman said it will be
after lunch.

Anyway, SG Motor is a used car dealer, but they only deal with imported
models such as Mit Evo 9, Rx8, etc.

I can say that their service is No.1!!! What was promised was delivered!
Heck, they even polish and wax the car for me before delivery!

hey S40,
i got the car today!

my dealer wanted to polish and wax as well but i told them not to cos i`m
sending the colt to Carnauba AutoSpa tomorrow to do the job.

i took delivery of the car and drove from the dealer directly to GSM
AutoAccessory in Jalan 222.

Did the tinting there (VKool 70 front and Solargard sides), changed the
horn to a Hella Horn, added on a chrome tailpipe, and added that 3M type
carpeting for the whole car including the boot. Total cost for all that,
RM1200. Oh yes, that also includes off-wheel balancing and alignment of the
car. I know that last bit probably could have claimed from Mitsubishi but I
prefer these people to do my balancing and alignment. They have been doing
it for me for my other cars and I find their work to be top rate if a bit
pricey.

By the way, when they checked the tyres, one of the tyre was inflated to
about 42psi, other 2 tyres were at about 28psi and one was at 32psi. i find
that this is getting to be unacceptably normal with most cars when they get
delivered. tyre pressures are all out of whack. maybe you should check
yours too.

Inital impressions of the car;
1. soundproofing not that good.
can hear outside quite clearly and from outside can hear the sound system
quite clear too. wind noise quite loud. tyre roar very loud. in fact, i am
bringing the car back to mitsubishi service center on monday to verify it
is actually not something to do with the car`s bearing.

2. fidgety ride.
at low to medium speed (about 80-90KMH) i feel it is a bit difficult to
drive straight. at speeds higher than that, the car settles down nicely and
feels solid.

How has your experience been with the car?

hi drmaze,
u sure are lucky.

how has the car been for u so far?

my colt seems to be settling down better over the weekend. managed to drive
400KM extra since i got it on friday.

the tyres seem to be a bit quieter now. not so slippery and noisy. i guess
gotta wait for it to be run-in.

same goes for the engine too. still feels tight.

wonder if they still have the RM62K lancer. a relative might be interested.
it is CBU japan too right?

Hi jackson, so far so good eh with your new colt, as for me had to go
back to EON as the wheel were vibrating terribly, got it 90% fixed as teh
wheel need rebalancing not perfect yet but after 800km the vibration
reducing. But maybe bring it up again at 1000km service.

AS for the Lancer no more stock. only the use car dealers have it now.....
EON should have just promo direct to direct buyers rather than wanting
easy buck from these unscruplous 2nd hand dealers....

The Grandis also not exempted few units been sold to Used Car as well, I
just got lucky, pick up the phone and call Mitsubs direct....the rest was
history.

drmaze,
i had a look at my wheels when i collected the car and i was shocked to see
that there were no balancing weights on the car. that was one of the
reasons i went to my regular tyre shop to do the work.

waiting to see feedback from the other colt owner in this thread (s40) to
give his feedback on his car.
