2843rpm.

You can use this calculator here.

The specs to be filled in are from here:

It look like the same when civic is hot..let wait to see how it going ?

confirm is at 2200rpm at 110km/h. It might be higher since the INVECS III
software might change the ratio settings according to the driver
characteristic.

160Km/h at 3000rpm. tested by another guy in other forum.

Unless the gear ratios of the Malaysian Lancer 2.0GT are not the same as
the US 2008 Lancer GTS (which I think is not the case), then the rpm at
110kmh is 2843rpm. Speed-RPM relationships are direct mathematical
calculations.

dear seantang,

u calculate by calculator, but we actually tested in real life woorr..do
u think that there is some calculator error there...if its really need
2843 to reach 110km/h..then it actually louzier than my serena which only
need 2500rpm to reach 110km/h.......i think u better test drive the car
first...the cvt is very smooth and its really effordless to reach 110km/h
if u use peddle shift...and it could reach 100km/h in less than 9 sec
like reported (3 person in de car)...

have fun man!!

Hmmm, you might be right. Although MMM and MMSg does not list gear ratios
in their spec pages, I found something in motortrader that says that the
RANGE (not necessarily individual gears) of the 2.0GT's CVT is 2.349 to
0.394 with a final drive of 6.120.

http://www.motortrad...1050/page_m.asp

This is basically consistent with the US specs on my earlier link,
although the 6th gear is 0.518 instead of 0.394 as in Motortrader's
review.

But if you replace 0.518 with 0.394 to calculate the speed-rpm, the speed
at 2200rpm is indeed 112kmh.

I'll need to observe more on how the CVT works. I suspect that 0.518 is
the ratio that you initially get when you shift manually into 6th gear
but as you continue to cruise along in 6th, the CVT will gradually lower
the gearing to 0.394 eventually.

Btw, I did give the Lancer a spin, but was much too preoccupied
with 'other things' than cruising at highway speeds.

Oh, one last thing... a higher rpm at a given speed doesn't mean that a
car is lousier than one with a lower rpm at the same speed. It only means
that the mechanical gearing is higher to suit the engine's power band.
Otherwise, sports cars and race cars (with their super short gearing)
will be the lousiest cars of all, wouldn't it?

note that your speedometer reading is usually incorrect.
to get your accurate speed u need to use a GPS device
