Just got my new Grandis this week. Color - Medium Purplish Grey Mica.
Ordered mine a week before the Raya holidays in October. Vehicle arrived
at Port Klang in the last week of November. Tons of features, some not
even mentioned in the advertisement. Including auto lights setting where
the lights will turn on automatically when it is dark.

The tyres were Made in Japan YOKOHAMA tyres sized 215/55R17. When I took
delivery of the
MPV, the ride was a bit hard from the tyres. Turn out that the pressure
was way too high at close to 400. The recommended pressure is between
230 - 240. After I reduced the air pressure, the ride became much
better.
Handling was excellent. So far no problem found with it.

Congrat WXX958 on your Grandis WXX958. I got mine End Of November. I was
fortunate, made my booking on the 1st and got it on the 30th.

I Love the handling. It was awesome especially with full load passengers,
traveling uphill. Can feel the power didn't drop abruptly at steep angle of
inclination .Actually thats is what I'm looking for(main requirement) bcoz
I'm staying on a hilly terrain(I'll try Genting Highland next time.lol).

Yes, the tires pressure is a bit high. I lowered the pressure down to 230
psi. The auto lamp is awesome too but my favorite is the remote. Even my
Sales Agent didn't know this features. It can even close side screens and
side mirror remotely. Love this features. You know La, kids when they get
excited they just rush out and we might overlook the side screens.

Well, I surely think that Grandis is within my budget and surely meeting
my requirements spec. A.k.a value for money.

Had my 1000km service yesterday- free also lol. And now its ready for our
holiday trip sometime next week......Big Smile

FC about 9.8L/100km. I guess should be reasonable enough for a 2.4L MPV.

Hi all Grandis Owner,

I am seriously considering the Grandis. I am also considering the Chevy
Catpiva and 4yo Alphard. Prob it I am waiting to test drive the car before
I decide. But I was told none is available. Apparently the sales is good
and the waiting period is about 3months. Did you guys test drove before
buying it? If yes, where did you test drove it?

Also, can I confirm the service is totally Free? Dirve in and Drive out
without paying anything? Is the warranty 5 years and by MMC?

Thanks

Hi Armereth,

I didn't test drive Grandis 2007 model. But I did test mt friend's 2005
Grandis. In term of handling not much different between both of them.
Sorry I couldn't give my advice if you want to compare Captive, Alphard and
Grandis because its total different class all together. Regarding waiting
period, it depends........ I got it in 30 days. Next shipment would be January.

So far who ever test my Grandis, gave positive remarks. Well, considering
the price had been offered with the satisfaction in handling it.

Yep, Drive in and out, Free service for 3 years /60,000km with 5 years
warranty. Once registered with Eon(during 1st service) , it can be sent for
service at all Eon service center through out Malaysia.

I think there are still some available for quick grab and depends on who
and which outlet you approach.

Here are some cool Grandis adverts :-

Got my Grandis tinted two days. Talked to my cousin who said that
imported vehicles have not been been properly acclimatized here in
Malaysia. So the interior would deterioriate quickly compared to
assembled in Malaysia cars. The interior of his BMW 325 was badly
peeling and discolored after 1.5 years. He advised me to tint the
vehicle. Actually, Grandis already comes with some form of tinted
materials on all of its windows - laminated green glass according to the
website specification page. So maybe I was wasting RM1650 for the job
when the original glass would have been sufficient. Anyway I used Air
Cool, had it done in Puchong. They had an offer and I took it.

WXX958,

I think it is good investment to tint your car,. Even though it came with
tinted from the factory but it is only about 5-10% tinted. In a hot day
with full pax it can be very annoying to be cramp in the car for a long
period of time.

I tinted my car with Vkool and it really helps alot. Load with 6 pax and
it was a sunny day when we traveled down south last weekend. At least my
kids didnt complaint..and thats good news to me.:-)
