lesliecjt,
The Super Touring was sold in Malaysia from 1984 and the last stocks were
cleared in 1986. After that Mitsu did not really have any serious player
in the 1.8/2.0 passenger car category in Malaysia.

BTW, there was also a 2.0 variant offered but it was probably CBU. Very
few units sold and can be easily differentiated by the tail lamps.

Super touring is a variant of Galant. Cordia is a coupe.. if my memory
serves me good.

this if the info i read from TERATO.com.
Mitsubishi Saturn Series (4G3x)
4G32 - 1597cc SOHC 8 Valve - Galant
4G33 - 1439cc
4G36 - 1238cc
4G37 - 1755cc SOHC 8 Valve - Cordia

that is why i say 4g37 from cordia. i also not know the exact truth. that
is why i need some info from all the forumers here.
is the info above correct????
why they put supertouring with cordia engine???
any web site i can look for more sopec about supertouring???

ahchun,

Just check your registration card. If the engine had been replaced, you
will know. Also cross check the engine number cause sometime people never
bother to inform JPJ when they change engine especially in old car.

Dun think you can find the info anywhere as it is way too old. I think a
4G15 will be more powerful than the 4G37.

ohhh ok
that mean no more hope for me to find info on this car. so sad.
anyway 4g15 is engine model used in iswara and wira model.
am i rite???
i have to admit that this 20 years old engine sure not as powerfull as
this newer engine.
but in other term this car still runing strong than our nasional car.
i always drove at 120 and 130 kmh when i am at highway.

The 2.0 GSR Exceed version was not officially made available here in
Malaysia but only limited units brought in on a personal basis. That model
had some cosmetic changes from our local Super Touring both front and back
in terms of apperance.

This model was replaced with the Galant E33 model in the late eighties. This
model shared the same chasis and engine the the reknown VR4.If I can recall
Cycle and Carriage brought in this model as CBU retailling at around RM 73k
in 1990. Unfortunately Malaysian at that time were so obsessed with Accord
SM4.However around KL,you can see people still driving this model but if
you go to Penang, once in a blue moon lah perhaps.Mostly KL plates. The
Galant E 33 Super Saloon were pronounced Japan's Car of The Year in 1991.
