Ishhh tertekan submit lak. Anyway Unpro, I plan to go Sepang again this
coming Sunday 15th Oct, barring no obstacle. There's still a lot to learn
taking those corners as fast as I could. Risau pasal Shinko tires to ajer.
I think I managed okay with the sharp slower corners like Turn 1, 2, 4, 9 &
15th, At least can follow the biggers bikes. But at the fast long corners
is where I get nervous, trying to commit myself at higher speed and keeping
the turn tight on the kerbs. Susah gak especially bila nampak the big bikes
coming fast from behind. So I need to run wide so they can take the inner
line. Pasal engine lingkup tu, ntahlah, but I guess at the rate things are
going, it will jahanam faster than yours. Now I ride around KL slower, no
more pecut-pecut, trying to conserve the engine for trackdays.

Mus and Yen, I'll try to take videos and sound of the exhaust before and
after the change. I have not checked with Lan when I cn get it done. But I
sure hope I can change it before this weekend trackday. Nak dengar bunyi
dia on full throttle.

>Susah gak especially bila nampak the big bikes coming fast from behind.

On the racetrack, your responsibility is the bike in front of you. Not
behind you. Big bikes zooming from behind will find their own way to get
past you so you won't have to worry about them so long as you don't do
anything stupid (like 'helpfully' swerving to the outside line to let them
pass).

Resist the temptation to keep checking your rear-view mirrors. Better yet,
remove the mirrors - one less distraction to deal with, and one less thing
to replace if you crash Big Smile.

adilz, shinko tu biler panas, melekat mcm gam tau tak?..

I say after 1 or 2 round warm up, u can just whack the corners like nobody
business.

And don't worry about faster bike coming from behind, they probally have to
pay more if the hit you Big Smile

ZZR, side mirror dia byk screw lah...bukan senang nak cabut.

Mus, aku tak pastilah kalau lepas re-jet tu boleh bedal mana-mana exhaust.
Aku rasa lain exhaust lain re-jet kot. Ko tanya mechanic ahhhhhh. Kang aku
bag salah info, exhaust jdi meriam pulang kang.

ZZR, yeah I've read the track tips many time before going for my first
trackday. But I guess because of the huge speed difference between my bike
and those bigger bikes, I just can't help worrying. Turning my head looking
behind. Not that it made much of a difference. Pandang belakang, tak nampak
apa pon. The next thing I know, zussssssss out of no where. ha ha ha I try
to keep my own line the next trackday.

Unpro, tak tahulah Shinko tu melekat macam gam ker tidak. One of my fren
who's a veteran-track-knee-scrapper took my Blade for a spin around the
track. He said the tire compound is hard and the bike slides off easily.
Maybe the compund, maybe the tire pressure, I don't know. A couple of times
he had to make those counter-steering moves (ala ala Nicky Hayden ler kot).
Maybe he goes way to fast. For me okay onlylah since tak laju mana pon aku
bawa. Though a couple of times I did locked both tires braking for corners.
Anyway, I sure scorched my Shinko tires from those hard bracking and
corners. You can see picture of my tire after the trackday here.

I guess that's the mark of a trackday bike. I was at pasar ramadhan last
Monday when this guy asked and comment about my bike. Then he asked me if I
go to track. I asked him why he said so. He said he thinks so looking by my
tire condition. Whatever pon, those tires not gonna last long.

The shinkos might be grippy when hot but when riding in normal
conditions, under the hot sun all is still ok, but if suddenly it rains,
the tyre loses all grip (when it is needed most).

That is why I rather upgrade to an all weather GP tyre.

Azhar, are you still on your original Shinkos? Has anybody actually replace
their worn out Shinkos with the same Shinko set? I wonder how much a set of
Shinko tires cost here. If its like 20-30% cheaper than other brands, I
would be in dilemma. The things is, when it rains, I don't ride fast at
all. Speed around the pakciks on beat up Honda Cub wearing Appollo helmet.
And I am happy with the Shinkos on dry road. So I don't know if I should
stick to Shinko or change. But if Shinko price tak banyak beza, I might as
well change other brand.

- Ishhhhhh, apa nih. Sudah lari topic pulak. Patut pasal ekjos jer
