Hi guys..

my friend's MyVi's battery was dead last 2 days and he had just replaced a
battery but the car couldn't start.

upon starting the car, you can hear the starter's sound.

The foreman said, the car is now "locked" and cannot do anything, have to
tow back to Perodua.
Frankly, I have never heard of cars being locked by changing battery?
The most is the alarm lock.
If alarm lock, how do we disable it? is there a reset button inside?

My friend is planning to send the car back to Perodua tomorrow morning and
I advice him that I don't think such thing exists. Can somebody confirm
this??

SIFUs!! please please...

try arm and disarm with the remote...
try the other key...
try remove the battery for 5 minutes, then reinstall back..to remove
batt, remember: remove negative terminal first...on installing, negative
last..
check fuses..
check fuel...

Immo is short for immobiliser. All Myvi has one. The immo has cut off power
to the engine. Disable it and you should be ok. All else fail, send to sc.

starter sound may indicate battery weak. don't buy battery from supermarket. as the battery is old and been long time sitting the shop. so therefore buy battery at car shop which they have new battery with full charge. Or find another car to Jump start the car
