Choice of two difference category... performance or family saloon car?
Since you still young, maybe you should consider the GTi as your choice,
fuel consumption for mixed urban & highway between RM80 to RM90 for 400-500
kilometer stretch. You need to focus extra careful on GTi standard 16" rim
since it is easy to damage when you hit any pot hole...
Since it more than 4 years old, you should consider also some maintenance
issues.

Get a gud mechanic friend 2 tag along wif u. The meter can be tampered. My
colleague here has his speedometer chged cuz spoilt... nw his car is at
2400km oni... B4 dis was around 200k++. Ur mech fren wud b able 2 identify
it if he/she has experience.
Oh yeah 4got 2 add, go 4 GTi all d way, ur young, waja's a family car...
but then again... I would rather spend my money else where if i wanted a
family car

Andrew

Have you bought a car already? If not I suggest you get a Putra. I've had
the car for 6 years now and I'm planning to change it soon, this car is a
joy to drive (for the price) and I hate to let it go and only because I
need a downpayment for a newer car. Mine is a 1st model(1997) with MMC
ecu. I don't know much about the Boch ecu models. It has better straight
line speed than a GTI (lighter) but not as good as a GTI in handling (16
inch tyres+some), but you can easily upgrade that. Plus Putra's are now
rarer than the GTI's. Just don't get my car, I had "too much fun" with it.

GTi can also go to 210km/h no problem. Just get a GTi. Can smoke any of the
newer generation Protons or City or Vios with no problems. You can even
stick your tongue out at Subarus and Evos which haven't had their 180km/h
speed cut removed as you drive past at 200.
