I was actually considering to either get a Waja Premium, Satria GTi or a
Toyota Vios.
As far as power is concerned, the best of the lot is still the Gti.
The Gti's top speed is much much higher compared to the Vios, and the
accelaration is better too.
What do you expect when you compare a 1.5 to a 1.8?
But in the end, after weighing everything under the sun, I booked a Vios
instead.
The main reason is because of Britney Spears' boobies...
Heheh, of course not.
The main reason is because of various complaints from people regarding
Proton's QC, (as has been the case since time immemorial, well, actually
since the days of the first Sagas...) even from Gti owners, and the fact
that the Vios balances power and versatility of a sedan at a very
reasonable price for me, personally.
Oh, did I say Proton's QC problems already?
So, for a 1.5, the Vios isn't that bad. It's okay, but not that blindingly
speedy like UMW proclaims...
My RM0.02 worth of nothingness...

Hi,Can anyone care to briefly explain the max power and max torque and
what is it all about? how to know a car can go faster from the spec ?
Do you think can Vios go faster and more power than Waja 1.6 auto ?

fretsurf,
Get the vios :) Your right about protons QC, i know i know i'm not being
nice about it but its true, i had so many little problem with my GTi when
i first bought it... its sad when u pay so much and get so little in
return. (btw the gti is way to expensive now 73k what the hell..)
Anyway its really up to what you want in a car... i was even considering
selling my gti for a vios.. but 1.5vvti cannot lah too use to the higher
torque...

If I remember correctly, in 1999 the GTi was introduced at 69K. The Putra
manual was 67K then. The Putra auto was 69K.
