i compared toyota brand and nissan brand laa!! read carefully bro!
exactly nissan brand more stable.. --- kiakorea

I agree with you, nissan is cheaper to maintain simply because the parts
are cheaper, tahan lama & tahan lasak. And the are still many old-old
nissan/Datsun car, van & small-lorry running on the streets.

cheers

Cheers bro! Thats right. I using Sentra B14-Manual from year 2000 until now. Engine can said no problem for me, smooth and quite and power still ok and FC around 0.18/km, coz of the air-con problem (sensor keep make the compressor working on and off on and off). But the body is damage by knocking by other's car lol...... smile_disapprove.gif
Only thing for Nissan is the 2nd value lol.....spare parts easy to find and cheaper then T & H. Service is slightly cheaper then T & H too.......anly thing is the design of the car can't beat T & H...
I'm thinking to let go Sentra and select between City 09 or Pug 308 VTI. The new sentra sport is not in my list, coz already boring....nothing new for snetra sport, ABS also gone liao. Engine same and only changes in facelift......according to website New sentra 09 already launch and the look is not nice lol. Sad for this series lol.......

Except for Kelisa, kenari & Kancil, the Viva comes with the new genre 3cyl DVVT engines for the 660, 850 & 1000cc where for the 1.0 it shares same engine as the 1.0 Myvi and 1.0 Toyota Belta (in M'sia Belta = Vios dugong)

Btw how's the Sentra 1.8 in terms of pick-up as compared with Altis 1.8 or Elantra 1.8? Sentra 1.8 out since year 2000 while Altis & Elantra in 2001..

Jumpman,

I'll go with you though I dislike Altis '06 look. I only like its engine. Can take it service outside and get lower price. Not much different from Nissan when not sending to SC.

Hi fkmfkm,

The 3cylinder version doesn't have valve timing, just very basic engine.

Hi devilsiew.

Now got new Sentra 2009? Another facelift? It was already replaced with Sentra 07 in the US and Sylphy '06 in Japan.

Hi popcorn,
Altis '06 pickup beats Civic 1.8 '06 by 0.2s. No info on 1.8XG-L 0-100km/h. For Elantra 1.8 '03 is 0.something before 12s.

dvvt - dual variable valve timing

vvt-i variable valve timing injection (Latest Camry 2.0 and 2.4 used those) Toyota Rush as well

Facelift looks awful for god sake. This is not a cheap car, is price more than MYR 100K would you prefer Mazda, Peugeot, Ford, City or this look?
