Hi Guys,

How much is the price of petrol of Idsi per km compared to Vtec. Got to ask
here cause the sales man told me 12cents for Idsi. Got to get the real
picture from those who owns it...!!

It can be achieved. My C VTEC consumption can range from high 11cents to
low 14cents. basically it depends very much on how you drive the car...
hope it helps...

Yea, I heard about it too. Thats the good news about Honda City. Although
the shape a bit weird, but we can avoid more expenses on petrol. And you
know la, our govt not gonna stop at the price of petrol from rising soon.
Gila sial.

my city vtec is totally opposite..

now it is about 2500 KM and when i fill in a full tank of rm 70, it only
takes me about 350 km. So averagely i am using about 20 cent/km which i
think is out of the way.

maybe the car is still new..but this is what i am facing now..hehe.

I would rather calculate km/l. My best record for iDSI is 19.7 km/l. This
happened when I was having the front wheel bearing problem :-( . Drive
slowly (not more than 100 km/h) form KB to KL. hmmm......... The sound of
the bearing nor really loud but I know it was bearing. Faced that before.
Previous record was 18 km/l, convoy with my bro van.

Consumption are based on a few factors and a couple of tips for FC
savings.

1. Highway drive or City drive? Highway gives very good FC while City
drive lower or much lower depending on how often and how heavy the
traffic conditions are.

2. Rev? Are you light-footed or heavy footed on the accelerator pedal.
Lightfooted on pedal means rarely do hard acceleration, drive mostly
around 2K to 2.6K rpm. Anything above 3K rpm drinks petrol like nobody`s
business.

3. FC will normally improve upon reaching 10K to 20K mileage. Mine did
improve noticeably after 20K servicing (change air filter and CVTF).

4. Petrol refill? Refilling petrol in the morning or night minimized gas
vaporization. Also after driving for a while gas will also vaporize from
car tank when doing refill. Thus the best time to refill is usually in
the morning upon exiting ur house. U will notice the petrol will last
longer a bit.

5. Car mod? The bigger the tyres and rims, the heavier it gets unless ur
using those expensive light-weighted rims. Bigger tyres affect FC on both
extra weights and more rolling resistance. Adding bodykit to will affect
overall FC.
