No confirmation from bro. hammerjit
My Insurance load 15% for old cars, but dealing direct with them they offer 10% discount, so all in all the loading is about RM30 plus... smile_tongue.gif

Ayioooo wish you told me this earlier la bro. I just renewed my inc & road tax at the post office, loading was 150%. My Ford Laser is 25 years old. Managed to get 3rd party inc from MMIP. Although 150% loading, finally paid $129 cos of 55% NCD. anyway no hassle ,no need pupsakom inspection, so saved some here.
For 3rd party inc, need following docs:
1. Original registration card.
2. Copy of registration card.
3. Copy of owners IC
4. Copy of Owners driving licence.
You can also buy comprehensive. For this only original registration card is required.

MMIP is not an Insurance Company. Its a pool for high risk vehicles to source for an insurance coverage. Managed by 2 insurance companies but the pool belong to the insurance industries i.e. all insurance companies have share.

Basic motor premium are the same wherever you go governed by the Malaysia Motor Tariff. Insurers are allowed to load the basic premium up to certain amount guided by BNM circulars. This is where you find the difference in premium for a same age/model of cars.

I'm prepared up to 200% loading, any higher, I guess it's time to sell out!
