how on earth the ECU box can filled up with water from aircon... how ah..

It happen to my old waja, i suspect the foreman have do something. Luckily at that time the Waja still got warranty, Proton Edar replace a new ECU for me, from then onwards no more problem. Check the Waja original ECU price.

All this repair & maintenance cost enough to downpayment a new Saga.

Well totally agree with baldwin.. Cos 3 years back had this issue.. luckily as for my case... after dry it and put it under the hot sun.. it works.. smile_approve.gif

Second hand ECU will be around 450 - 600 per unit by trade in your current ecu..I believe there are ppl who repair the ecu and re sale it in the market.. cos I had change 2 ecu when I had my gearbox jerking issue.. I went the Proton ask for the original ECU pricing.. shock of my life.. RM4800 nett nett.. smile_shock.gif

ask any sifu's here and they can confirm tht the jerking was NOT due to the Throtte Body....but actually it was your
ECU thts having short-circuit all this while.....

there goes ur $$$$ smile_blackeye.gif

the earlier batches of 4G18 Waja's are known to have the a/c water dripping onto the ECU due to the short/blocked air-cond water outlet hose.

There used to be an original Proton car parts, but now it seems gone.

Try call the below person, hope it help else you will have to pay dearly. By the way, normally ECU kena water is due to defect, where the air condition water sips in, or during heavy downpour some moisture manage to get in, therefore, Proton must replace it without asking much. Else as consumer we can lodge a complaint. Normally if got Kawan working as SC foreman is good la, belanja kopi and makan they can help ease the process.
