Hi , May I know what is the reason behind of 2nd price drop so much to 40~50k?

is it many problem??
worth to buy?

If you are looking at the 4spd gb model,it has premature carbon buildup problem. However it is solvable and needs additional maintenance to keep the engine ticking well.

The 6spd gb models have less of this issue. Preventative maintenance is advisable.

The car is worth buying if you have a good mechanic to handle the preventive maintenance. Going to the SC will be costly and that is the reason why this car 2nd hand value drops that much. You should also source parts from ebay, will cost 20% - 30% compared to SC price.

Go for it,you'll enjoy driving it. But remember this car will need special attention & care!

From what I had read in this forum, there are many problems associate with this Peugeot 308 Turbo, 6 speed car after 40,000 km mileage usage.  Once you buy this used old car without warranty the damages will be: 1.  engine turbochanger after 40k km, RM5k, 2. Engine thermostat housing with sensor, RM2k-RM3k, 3. Petrol high pressure pump RM2k-RM3k, 4. Air Con Compressor RM1.5k, 5. AL 4 Gear Box: RM6k-9k, 6. Valve Cover +repair kits: RM2k-RM3k, 7.  Gear Box tuning, Gear Box electrical control box and electrical fuse box: RM3k, 8. Throttle body: RM1.5k, 7. Window regulator: RM1.5k, 8. Brake pad, disc rotor:  RM2k, 9. All types of filters (air, engine oil, fuel) 4 spark plugs, oil change (Engine oil and Gear Oil),  struts, tyres, battery trouble shootings etc : RM3k.. 9. Timing Chain and tensional: RM1.5k, 10. Fuel injectors plugs, holder and hose: RM1.5k, 11. Engine top overhaul to remove carbon, top overhaul kits, gaskets, seals, rings etc: RM2k. TOTAL DAMAGE FOR BUYING OR OWNING THIS Peugeot 308 6 speed is around RM29K to RM35K.  Just wonder if anyone with right mind would like to pay even RM30K for this car???  Must be joking.  Why not get a new Myvi  with warranty at RM40k or RM50k at low loan interest rate and problem free in next few years instead?  Why get a used old car asking for trouble??  If there are no problems with this car why in the market there are more than 30 similar used old cars posted in mudah for sale???  How about those who want to sell but not putting in the market?? They must be damn lucky if they can even fetch RM20K for this lousy car at current depressed market condition down the road in year 2016 !!!

How come more than 30 posting for sale in mudah for Peugeot 308 6 speed turbo in the market?? With so many problems and high damages for a used car, conservative estimate at RM30K-RM35K of repair costs, troubles here and there, I would expect the price to further depreciate to RM20K for used car without warranty in 2016 depressed market.
