I'm planning to get a cruiser and I have been suggested 2 get cruise Nbe
250 (Naza). So anybody has any comment or suggestion on that bike? I'm
very keen on having a cruiser.

Hi Muurali,

I've been using the bike since June last year. Overall, I'm happy with
the bike, it's economic and very stable ... for a 250cc bike. I travel
from Shah Alam to Sri Hartamas and back @ a bit less than RM5 worth of
fuel.

The ride is very comfortable at 100 - 120 km/h but i dont think you can
push it above 130 km/h. the service guys at naza shah alam are very
helpful but parts are not easily available outside of Naza Service
Centres. So far I've had not faced much problem except for some minor
problems on the meter panels and fuel gauge which was easily fixed at the
service centre.

i also joined the Naza Easy Rider convoy ride in December to Air Keroh
and made it quite comfortably with the rest on bigger cc bikes. Of
course, we only cruised around 120 km/h on the h'way then.

If you need something to briskly take you around town and sometimes hit
the highway for a mid-range easy speed travelling, i think you'll like
this bike. But if you need more power and presence ... perhaps you may
want to look for something of a bigger cc range that would mostly
available in the form of used bikes. You can esily get a used 500cc
easyrider for a little less than the brand new NBE250 ... but ... do
consider the unknown risk factors ...

Cheers.

Thanks caca575,
I thought that I was the only one who is interested in that bike...anyway
what do you mean by we can't push it more 130km/h...will the bike give us
any problem if we do so or the bike does not have the power to do so?
What is your opinion on Naza cruise 650? Actually I'm just looking for a
bike to travel from my home to my working place which is about 15-20km in
distance and I'm not interested in power. Do you think Nbe 250 is enough,
based on your experience?
Once again thanks man, cheers

hi muurali

130 km/h is just about the maximum speed that the bike could go. if you
are into modifications, perhaps you could add another 10 - 15 km/h. it's
on a 5-speed gearbox ... so, perhaps if you could convert to a 6-speed
transmission then perhaps it could go faster ... but that's just my
theory la.

the cruise 650, on the other hand, is a bigger and faster bike, so can't
compare it with the 250. i've read some reviews by a us based bike
magazine which compared the performance of the 250 with other models,
such as virago 250, honda rebel 250 etc. but you need to search the
internet under "hyosung" which is the original manufacturer of the Naza
Cruise NBE 250. the review was quite good which the hyosung 250 was rated
2nd after the virago 250 from various evaluation aspects. and if i'm not
mistaken, the hyosung model is also quite well received in the australian
market. try a google search on hyosung ...

if you're not so much into power and high speed riding, i think this bike
will serve you well ...

happy hunting!

just adding my opinion,

naza cruise 250 aka hyosung aquila 250

more details http://www.hyosung.c...250-Aquila.html

fyi I been using hyosung cruise 2 125cc for 6 years, few problem but
fortunately not that difficult to solved.

I guess naza cruise 250 is the only affordable big new bike around, last
time i check it was 15k. Infact all naza big bike are the only affordable
new bike around.
:P

I never tested riding naza cruise 250, but did pass a few. Not that fast
coz easy rider bike is not design to be ridden like superbike :).

My opinion, if you want a new bike go for naza cruise/blade 250, or with
15k you can get 2nd hand honda shadow 650, vulcan 500, vulcan 750 or even
vulcan 800. But 2nd hand bike usually have some hidden surprise if you did
not check the bike properly. Bring few expert friend before buying any 2nd
hand bike.

Hope you make the best decision.

:)

Hi caca,
But if the bike can only go up to 130km/h, it means 120km/h is already
the full capacity of the bike....do you think the bike can take it if
travel daily with 120km/h..anyway can we get honda rebel 250 in
Malaysia..but I call Welly, they do't even know what bike is that

my experience with my hosung cruise 2 aka naza cruise 125,

max speed is 120kmph, and i ride everyday at 110kmph since 6 years ago.

i think it will not be a problem if you ride it below its max speed.

my opinion lah. i never ride a cruise 250 :)

Hi surfer,
6 years without major problems...that's sound really good, man. How about
maintenance, is it expensive? where do you take your bike for servicing?
Can we get backrest for the bike cause I need to send my daughter to her
school everday and with the backrest on the bike I think it will be
safer...
cheers

Hi muurali,

riding the bike at 120 is still a comfortable experience ... bike is
stable enough and engine vibrations are not excessive. i ride around that
speed everytime ... not a problem.

i've seen some cruise 250's fitted with the modenas jaguh backrest. as
for me, i got a Givi backrest but with some modified brackets fitted on.
cost me rm240 ... done at a bikeshop along jalan sentul. i forgot the
name of the shop but will let you know once it comes to my mind.

by the way ... where do you stay? if in KL, i think there is a Naza Bike
service centre in Kg Baru. There's also one in PJ. I usually send mine to
the one in Shah Alam, section 15.

till later, cheers ...
