i found glue stains on the plastic cover of speedometer after collecting the car. only noticed a few days later during night driving. managed to clean it with dipping a bit of car shampoo on soft cloth. gently but with a bit of force. can see some scratch and swirl marks but not very noticeable unless u shine a torch to it. sad.gif

so, you might want to check for stains both on speedometer and tachometer.

hi,
have u ever check ur swirl mark at night at any petrol station?
maybe it will surprise u!

The checklist was just a copy paste from other thread. Btw, it do help very much during delivery of my car. The SA surprise when he saw my checklist. At the end of inspection i ask him to sign... he's ok with it. It took more than an hour to complete the checklist plus other features including manual lock of the car

What will you guys do if there is/are negative point on your checklist? Can be as small as minor stain on the fabric to scratches on the paint to missing spare tyre?

can we actually refuse to accept the car if we are not happy with anything? (or the depending on the severity of the defect).

or is this mostly just syiok sendiri, ie...the car is yours once chassis and engine number allocated, the best the dealer will do is just to try and rectify your defects?

make a remark on your delivery order, get them to make a copy for you and then get them to stamp it with their company stamp. mine had a deep scratch on the driver door panel below the power window buttons. they r going to replace it on my 1st inspection at 2500km which i am doing it today. provided everything's done today then its smile_thumbup.gif service!

Sorry to bring up an old thread..

But I wonder, can this checklist be used for the 308 VTi? smile.gif

bro, i dont see why not.
if there are things that is not available for the VTI to be checked just omit it.
may i know why are you asking this in the first place?

One more item.
Check Coolant. Make sure it is either green or blue in color. Mine was clear/milky-yellowish color. So decided to flush it at 10,000km service. Now is blue color.

Life is short. Seize the day!
