I think auto problems is mostly from contamination of auto oil or punks who
change D to R without stoping the car first.

Auto problem does not happen imediately but about 6 months later or more.

Whats all the hoo haa bout city CVT problems, Jazz been around even
longer and no much complain bout the CVT only city got CVT problem ah?
all car oso got transmition problem IMHO.depending on how we taroh the
car i guess.
City weight 1 ton and with less then 90 HP, i don't tink we can konk it
easily but if you do lots of engine breaking with the manual selection
then i believe it will konk very soon.
but 1 tink for sure CVT are not design for rough use ie. heavy load, off
road, race etc.
but then again, Japan has the 4wd version of City with CVT.
Our City are mainly used for city n highway driving only so i guess the
CVT might outlive the engine itself :P

MIB1986,

We are talking about CVT gearbox. Type Z is using auto-tranny. Its way
cheaper than the later generation CVT gearbox.

Yes, I agreed, never go to puchong Honda SC for the services, they will
always claim on user fault not manufacturer fault. I've face this issues
not only one. The best Honday SC i've been to is Seremban Branch. The
worst Honday SC is Chan Sow Lin Branch.

Auto trans is a bit sensative compare to manual.Like many says, how you
drive refleks to the gearbox life.I have a 96 RA-2 and change gear oil
every 10K for both front and back.It is smooth till now.If you ever past
through a flood area and survive past through it,i suggest you change the
auto oil the next day.
