Hi All,
Anyone know which workshop is good on servicing citroen air-con in Penang?

Previously, i did service my air-con at Maxland (a citroen workshop in Chai
Leng Park, which is now closed shop already).

I am driving Berlingo. When the air-con is kicked in, i can feel strong
drag on engine power. So, thinking to send for air-con service and change
the gas filter. Hopefully, it will help.

Hi All,
Seem like no body know where is the good air-con workshop in Penang.

Nvm, i just share some info here.

i just sent my fatty berly to a air-con workshop called U-Yee Air-con at
Chain Ferry, Butterworth today. Is an authorize air-con workshop for
citroen car in Butterworth. Very friendly and knowledgeable.

They changed the dryer(gas filter) and refilled the air-con gas for me. The
Berlingo I air-con dryer cost me RM250.00. After change the dryer. I can
feel smoother when cruising on highway and better pickup and of course
cooler air-con.

yes, u-yee is the man. he's into radios too!

if you need to overhaul your aircond compressor, there's a guy in batu
maung. it took the guy 1 day and made him RM500 richer

let me know if you need his contact.

Thanks rfbu.
You did overhaul your compressor before? In what scenario you need to
overhaul it?

put gas, not cold enough, bocor!

come to think of it, i recall u-yee talking about the newer compressor found
in the 307, might better to get u-yee to fix it

mine zx... got it overhauled, changed the rings, added lubricant, 0.9kg of
refrigerant (not sure if it was cfc or cfc-free) - very satisfied.

i have a temp gauge at the vents to satisfy my curiosity if it's cold

to me, if it's about 10C during hot afternoon, then it's working.

if it's only about 20C during hot afternoon, not good enough!
cheers!

Hi rfbu,
Thanks for your input. My air-con now get much cooler than before. Just
take longer time to cool down the temp during after noon. Because my
berlingo is in dark blue color. I just bought a set of window visor. Now, i
can wind down the front window abit during parking under the hot sun. So,
it help to reduce the heat that capture in car. Really, hard to get the
visor for citroen car.

I bought from singapore dealer. It costs about RM100 inclusive shipment
charges. You can view the visor on eBay website
http://cgi.ebay.com....E:X:RTQ:SG:1123
The dealer is Desmond Sieow. You can send email to him
classique@hotmail.com. It is actually a set of Kangoo Visor. So, it is not
100% fit to berlingo. But still ok for me.

Hi all! Sorry for waking up this old thread. Recently I sent my car for aircond servicing which cost me RM200. Includes clean-washing of cooling coil, blower & condenser using chemical, new drier, flushing out both old gas & compressor oil & replaced with new r134 (ori & not china product, as claimed) & synthetic compressor oil. End result is, just as same as before eventhough the man was straight forward & doesnt seem to cheat. Not cooling enough, even at lowest temperature. I even think my Wira '02 using sanden compressor, the aircond was better before servicing. I serviced to prevent future repairs. Now Im reluctant to go back to him & would like request you guys' help. Any recommendation? wheres that shop in batu maung, price + service how? thanks a lot
