Not sure where you heard the news from. I have seen many more on the road each day. I usually travel around PJ, Federal highway and Mid Valley area, and saw quite a few in town as well, when I was there.

Hi all,
It is about time for my Mazda 5 to change tyres. I have shortlisted the following:

(1) Toyo C1S
(2) Toyo Teo Plus
(3) Bridgestone Ecopia EP200

Wonder if any of you have any experience with the above? Or if you have tried others and they are below RM400 per piece, please welcome to share.

Thank you in advance.

Teo Plus and Ecopia are entry level Eco tyres. C1-S is Toyo mid range comfort performance tyres with a balance of comfort and quiet ride. So for choosing it depends on your priorities whether you want something durable or of better performance.

Other tyres less then RM400, what is your tyre size?

This is very common size and many brands and models are available. RM400 is very good budget and can get very good range right up to UHP tyres, so next is what are your priorities. Meaning traction, handling performance greater or quiet, comfort or durability greater preference.
Anyway, I suggest you go mid or top since you have the budget.
Mid tyres are Goodyear Efficient Grip, Michelin P3ST, Yokohama dB V551, Bridgestone GR-100, Hankook S1 Noble 2 and of course Toyo C1-S, but C1-S is oldest model of the 6.
And in UHP category you have Michelin PS3. This model used to be above RM400 but have gone down in price.

Thanks for sharing. Went with Bridgestone GR-100 and am very happy with its quietness, traction and comfort so far. Better than the stock tyres that I had.
