My Waja 2001 (A) which I bought 2nd hand in 2010 because the car was running on V-Power (previous owner was a close friend of mine).

The car has now clocked 200,000 km and so far and still running fine.

After I bought the car I have add or mod the following-

(a) ATF Cooler (Brand Hayden);
(cool.gif Evo 3 Twin-Port Brake Calliper and Evo 4 Double-Layer Master Brake Pump and Brake Booster;
© K & N drop in filter with 2 Cyclone II;
(d) Denso Iridium IK20 plugs;
(e) Air-Intake (80s device for fuel saver) - Ayam brand from Brothers Accessories;
(f) Custom made Capacitors which one affixed to the lighter wiring behind the dashboard and another mounted on the
Battery;
(g) Projector and HID from CSB-Pro Autolight (Subang USJ 1); and
(h) 16" rim with Continental MC5 195/55/16;
(i) Zenden 2 points front strut-bar;
(j) OEM Proton Preve steering with shift pedals (of course the shift pedal is not functioning; and
(k) front and rear camera with the displayed in the double-din screen; and
(l) rear lights have been changed to LED from Eagle Eyes (Taiwan)

With the above the car is currently doing 10.5 to 11 km/litre (average) for town driving and 16 km/litre (average) on highway with Petron Ron 95 and TOTAL Fully Synthetic 5W-40 Engine Oil.

I am considering 4-2-1 extractor and to remove the cat converter but the pros and cons of these upgrades are not certainable yet.

Huhu,.... compare to Japanese D-segment car, I still admire Waja handling... may be time to get firmer suspension for the bigger car.

keep it stock..every onve a while a soft suspension will reward u when u just want to het from point a to b or when yr body cn no longer accept the firm ride.

mine is on proride absorber which is firner than stock absorber.
the faster i go the better the ride is.
i dont go as fast as before and it can be quite unsettling at times.

This my father car and I am drive a lot.

Proton Waja 1.6MT 2003,and all most 12 years old, with mileage is 145440.

Now it is still in good condition, fuel gauge problem and window problem(changed a few year ago), speedometer light more dim on right. also front absorbers already changed.

All is still in original mode, without any modification.

My 2003 waja 1.6x now clocks 433,000KM. Done overhaul including change piston rings, cylinder head replaced (warped 2 times coz overheat), waterpump 3 times, alternator, campulley replaced to lighten one (crispier throttle acceleration) and 1 gearbox changed.... soo syok attacking corner, cucuk angin... soo worthy replacing all those parts... and soo out of money too.
Let's share out thoughts together
