All brands of oil can be used, just make sure it is within the recommendation from your car manufacturer.
As far as I know many are using 5w-30 or 10w-30 viscosity for BLM....

Personally i'd recommend 10W-40 or 15W-40 for Campro (non CPS). anything thinner than 10W-40, the hydraulic lifters aka tappet will sound abit noisy. in the owners' manual it's recommended 20W-50 (cos Petronas Mach 5 last time only got this viscosity i guess) which i found a bit too think n heavy for the small engine.

for CPS the owners' manual recommends 10W-30.

Recommended 20w-50? Wah! this is old school mineral viscosity of yesteryear and mostly for old worn engines. Yes, nowadays the in between is 10w-40 for SS oil and lightest should be 30 weight for our type of weather.... smile_tongue.gif

yea, my 2008 Saga BLM's owners manual specifically recommends 20W-50 API SJ or higher. it's written below the chart altho the chart also shows 10W-30, 10W-40 and 15W-40 as suitable. during tat time the so-called official factory filled oil (Petronas Mach 5) only has 20W-50 until they come out with 15W-40 in 2011 if i'm not mistaken.

for the next service, i plan to try out the Mitsubishi FS 5W-40 (repacked from Enoes) which i bought for RM99 at Aeon during promotion time.

No wonder another friend mentioned his Persona also switch to 20w-50 already.....
