This is to confirm than Megs clay is so much better than PG clay. I cracked open my new Megs clay today, and after claying, my paint did not feel gritty at all, so unlike when I was using the PG clay.
I was previously using Megs clay but I thought I save money by using PG clay. I really wanted to like PG clay because it would save me money.
You get what you pay, I guess.
Must be some tough contaminants or your Megs must be aggressive. For me no problems with PG clay, surface still comes out smooth....

I am curious because I know people here have no issues with PG clay. I wonder if it's my technique of claying or something. I don't put my muscles in it when I clay. I just slide the clay left and right, easy does it, unless I see an stubborn tar spot then I rub harder.

Which PG clay did you buy? Did you buy the mildest which is for black cars? Cannot be technique as Meg clay works for you. I have all of PG's clay bars and all worked as advertised and never used any other brand so far as i didn't need to. PG's clay for dull paint is pretty aggressive and don't recommend it unless you have bad over spray.
Most of the time I use the one for light coloured cars.

Yah! agree with bro. jon. If Megs works for you nothing wrong with your technique. I too just slide it left and right, without much force too...

same here, no issues with PG clay bar so far...although nowadays I don't see much contaminants being pickup. Maybe due to my claying before cleaning the paint/sealant application approximately every 3 months or so.

I have plenty of issues with PG clay...crumbling, marring, sticking, not lasting in strorage, not so pliable as others, negative reaction to some shampoo....just to name a few. I pass one brand new bar to a friend and he also didn't like it. Maybe I need a re-visit cuz that was quite a few years back......

I lazy to keep them so I just submerge them in water and still using after 2 to 3 years....

Funny you got so much problem with PG clay, I have all 3 and have then for quite some time now. One of them is already a few years old and still perfect condition.

Haha...3 months may be too obsessive but I just like the smooth feeling after clay...

Won't submerging the clay in water have adverse affects in the long run?
