Yah DA from aliexpress is cheap, let is know if the quality is ok or not. Also the quality for all the free pads that they give.

Amazingly long discussion about the machine. I am going to ask, but perhaps a question might have been answered somewhere along these 30+ pages of posting.

I only use Autoglym consumer range, nothing else, mainly SRP & EGP has been my faithful maintenance work partner, plus my trusty old hand. Unfortunately both my wrist has developed some problem, I can no longer sustain the hand polish working method I have used for more than 15 years now. Hence I am looking for a machine that takes over my arm-wrestling duty.

Appreciate recommendation, budget is not a major concern, but locally available machine is. Basically I would like to know, with my SRP (EGP has to be applied with my hand, still effortless to me except when buffing off) :

1. What machine, DA/ROB/RB, I prefer specific answer/preference from you old timer/pro.
2. Machine recommendation, brand and model.
3. The pad. I am not going to use other rubbing or finish compound. Just strictly AG-SRP.

Hope I am not asking the impossible.

This Machine - Bosch GEX 125-1 AE

With either these Lake Country CCS pads or Lake Country Flat pads will, more than enough, be able to 'take over' your trusty hands. Minimum 2 x White & 1 x Black. White for your SRP and Black for the application of EGP.

Personally, I prefer the flat pads (though I don't really fancy the Lake Country pads, but they are readily available here).

I'm guessing you're just planning for the maintenance after sending your ride to Darren for a full detail eh.... So the above is, basically, all you need....nothing fancy....just a simple basic set-up.

Tq. I'm not into show car shine, as all my cars are daily beater. So a decent amount of protection is all I've been doing all these years. Just that my Ortho Surgeon restrict me from using my hand too much for doing rather heavy duty work, kinda ban me from doing manual detailing work, unfortunately.

Question. The Bosch you mentioned seems to be rather high spinning. Unsure, would an adjustable speed machine like Makita be better ?

The Bosch is an Orbital and have adjustable speed. For maintenance is better as it is very light. Orbital movement is to replicate by hand movement....
Makita is Rotary and for maintenance use is very heavy. Use more for correction work..

If you are still applying EGP by hand then just get the white pads for applying SRP.
If EGP is difficult to buff off, then you should try DG105 sealants...
