Hi dear forumers,

Today, I was as ussual drove my Persona to work. After I reached the highway, I suddenly felt that my car was slow down gradually. Then I stepped a bit deeper to the throttle, but useless, the throttle was no response. I drove my car to the most left lane and than stop it, then I stepped again the throttle. The RPM went up but very slow, I tried to accelerate my car with full step on my throttle but just able to speed up to 40km/h. So I decided to switch off my engine, after a few while of "engine cooling down" I restart my engine again then everything went back to normal...

What's going wrong with my car? Do you face the same problem as mine before? Thank you

i got the similar experience.. but it was caused by my aftermarket throttle controller ( e-throttle ) it went into save mode during spirited driving and sluggish. engine check light on. stop the car turn off. restart the car a few moment back, it went back to normal..

our pedal is drive by wire sensor. maybe the sensor got problem. have you do the resetting of the pedal ( they call it pedal respond ) before ?

Thanks for reply smile.gif
It's almost the same problem like yours, but mine Engine Check light did not turn on, only the moment I restart the engine (as normal lah). I didn't do any reset on my pedal respond... and mine throttle is original Proton one... mine is Proton Persona Elegance "Kosong Edition".

I'm suspecting my ECU... cause I saw a lot of Persona engine stop suddenly because of ECU problem in some forums, and it comes back to normal when they remap it.

this one i say i agreed. a few of my friend got engine stop problem due and one of it, the car stop in the middle of driving. luckly it was on a slower speed and he was at the left lane. solve by remap ecu by proton.

you can try to reset throttle body your self. my friend have a guide buts it is in BM
http://eilarazi.blog...ottle-body.html

for the pedal respond. my mech adjust the pedal setting so it will have more responds ( speed up the signal from pedal to ecu ) when you step on the gas pedal. its kindda like you press 10%, its told the ecu that you throttle to 20% instead of the normal setting that you press 10%, you get 10% respond.

Problem comes again!

The throttle pedal just respond "half"... As I full press the throttle pedal, the RPM only raise until 2500 (no gear). When I change it to 1st gear and move the car, it jerk~~~

Sorry of my "flog under the coconut shell", what is PADT stand for?

I just sent my car to the nearest service centre for checking just now, the technician said he had serviced the throttle body and re-tune the engine... I have to observe it for a few days and see whether the problem has been completely solved or not...
