And one more thing i found out, the middle seats were individual seat that moves independently and can be removed totally, the design and operation just like my peugeot 307SW!

Another thing to consider is the front wheel is 205/50/17 and rear is 235/45/17. It must be fun when looking for replacement tires.

I test drove the CT yesterday, am surprise that i cant differentiate it wt my golf tsi. Everything is soo familiar and drove quite similar. if i close my eyes, definitely cannot tell the different.

btw, can feel its torque come on song earlier than the tsi, hmm feeels like it have bttr pick up from 0-50kph compared to a golf but after that diff story ler...later check the spec its churning 220nm at lowish 1,250rpm while the golf tsi churned out 240nm at higher 1,800rpm. Just perfect for a ppl mover, u'll need the max torque way low down.

Most prob will be bringing home another vw soon.

Cheers! smile_thumbup.gif

Update - just got my Cross Touran few days back, after almost 150km....my conclusion, its a bigger version of the Golf....drove like a Golf, corner like a Golf, steering wheels looks like a Golf...ITS A GOLF..

Feels just like driving my Golf TSI...i'm a amaze....power below 3,000rpm, same as the golf....above 3,000rpm only the Golf extra 20HP & 20NM torque is felt.

Hehehehehe....still laughing everytime i drove the CT ...Great Mini MPV that drove like a Hatch smile_thumbup.gif

Bro, you're one very happy vw dude. Drove my brother CT. Surprisingly good. Not really a fan of MPV but this one managed to stir my interest. The pick up and the rather stiff suspension are very un-MPV like. The steering is very light, much lighter than my very much smaller polo. Inside is spacious but u really need a Thule box for long distance travel. But that would increase the fuel consumption, increase the centre of gravity of CT resulting in less cornering ability. As if you would want to whack in corners .... Overall, a people carrier with driving feel.

Just an update, my CT mileage had reached 8k already. So far very satisfied wt it, FC is averaging btw 11-12km/l (if drive selowly around 80-90kph can easily gets around 14km/l ..but most of the time u tends to go fast, cant help it)

Highway cruising is good, so far had cruise along NSE at 160kph from jb-kl (engine quite relax at that - engine speed around 3,400rpm) but not as fast as the golf which can easily reach 200kph if u are not paying attention smile_wink.gif

Overall, good mini mpv which drives like a Golf

Really interested in getting a CT as my family car..any opinion regarding DSG issue? My ride is 80% city driving, is it taxing on the DSG?

So far both my 2011 Golf TSI & new CT DSG 7 are doing well, just remember to treat it like a manual. If Stopping/iddling for more than a minute at traffic light or Traffic, just shift it to N since u dont want to burn the clutch (its a manual where the mechatronic is handling the clutch), since if u're not moving and the gear is in D, its like pressing your clutch in a manual car while stopping. Your clutch plate will be fried if u 're iddling for a long time....this was the tips by the Sales guy when i took my golf in 2011.

hopes this help
