I stick to 10k service interval and never had once an issue with warranty because it's accordance with what is stated in the service booklet. Heck, even the service table in the service booklet for the service centers to stamp and verify, is CLEARLY STATED each 10k.

I duno why SC all the same. Keeps stating OCI is 5k unless using full syn then its 10k. Bullcrap. Manufacturer clearly states every 10,000km regardless of mineral, semi or fully synthetics as long as it meets the oil grade (eg. SM / SN). Plus, if you see the service booklet, the schedule table is every 10,000km OCI.

But Sc always trying to be smart and say 5k.

Very old school mindset has to go and leave it aside. This is the modern world now. New technology......hello?! Wake up please.

I think I have waited long enough.
PROTON is obviously not bothered with their customers.

So from today onwards, no more PROTON!

Now I understand why there are PROTON BASHERS.

it dont help that most of the proton authorized service centers are actually individually own workshop where their goal at the end of the day is to earn as much money as possible without regards to the brand...

hahaha..
i expected the big 3s or major service center to know better but apparently they are still as ignorant.

the only one i see that is up to date with good level of service is the PJ sek 13 service center...
the rest is just.. blahhhh....

Business is business and changing engine oil more often is never a bad thing except to your wallet.

But if you insist on doing it every 10,000-km using Mineral Oil, they can't refuse either. Just make sure oil is of correct viscosity and grade and from a reputable oil company and no fake oil (so stick to oil from SC)

But if owner are ignorant, then they have only themselves to blame.

So just do what pleases you.
I prefers to use my head than follow the crowd. After all, it is my money and not theirs.

correct...
if owner is ignorant, they better shot themselves in the head...

but some SC (especially those smaller ones or those appointed ones) uses fake/recycled oil...
saw this before with one "authorized SC" in my hometown in Benta...
but this is many years back la...

Actually was interested in buying a PREVE for my wife but since I refused to support PROTON anymore, up theirs!

All I need to do is to get rid of my current SAGA and I will be PROTON free.

Will go Korean from now on smile_big.gif

Never again never ever PROTON!
